I've visited this place in the evening for a dinner and was completely disappointed. The food wasn't tasty, the service wasn't very friendly, the only good thing about this place is its name. Nothing else.

We went to Atame just on a random night after a long day of walking... Feeling very hungry and unsure of where to go we stumbled upon Atame. We liked the look of it, clean, candles on tables, people having wine... ;) The restaurant was quite full there was only 3 free tables and two of them was reserved. Waiter... More

Stumbled across this gem near Alexanderplatz and was very impressed. All the food was amazing. Highly recommended the lamb spits, pork belly and chargrilled pimientos peppers. Price was good for the standard you get but the portions are fairly small (however it is tapas so can't really complain!). Staff was fairly average and not incredibly friendly but still a fab... Tapas is my favorite so when I was celebrating my birthday I desperately wanted a good tapas restaurant. This place did not disappoint. My favs: bacon wrapped dates, manchego, chorizo, and the papas bravas

After a late visit to the Berliner TV Tower, we chanced upon this place; not much open so choice was limited but it looked warm and friendly. I think they were about to close up but we were catered for well and the staff were excellent. Outside, it's trestle tables which you may have to share but given the lateness,... More

If you look for special food and good vibes thats the place for you. We were six , tried around 9 diffrent types of tapas (veg,meet,specials..) and each one of it was excellent!! The place is packed every evening so you have to book in advance! Price of food can be an issue if thats your focus...

Visited here on a Sunday evening in mid-Feb. Had visited before in summer 2015 and remembered there being more choice on their menu - perhaps there were more specials. My boyfriend went to look for a specials board and the waitress came to take our order, I ordered some wine as I didn't know whether there was more food available... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
