Went here with my dad while visiting Berlin. They make you pay a ‘donation’ of €1-10 (I don’t know who would pay €10 for entry). We stayed for a few hours and it seemed like a relatively chilled out place with ample space.
Perfect place for spending one of those heatwave days. You are asked for donation (1-10 EUR) while entering, but it is totally worth to visit. Really enjoyed this unique atmosphere and people who were spending time in there. Staff was really friendly. You must visit...More
you pay a set fee to get in and then within YAAM there is a long bar, other building for drinks, a football space, table tennis, a few carribean food places, a shop etc. the bank of the river is turned into a beach where...More
The bar itself is a cool & alternative spot to hang out. We ended up here after a tour and decided to hang out for a few drinks before moving on. After about 30 minutes my friend said he was feeling weird and we went...More
a great little place opposite our hotel. built to give refugees a start with worldly food in a small festival environment. we spend a couple of hours here and the vibe was decent with a dj playing world music whilst being able to get drinks...More
We came here tired after a very early flight from Ireland to sit in the sun overlooking the river. A one euro levy was requested at the entrance which was a little strange at the time. This is a Community Project and has that unfinished...More
Went in around 6pm but wasn't asked to pay the "donation" as some have mentioned. It has 2 areas (one by the entrance where there are some small stalls/huts for food and drinks and another area down the path closer to the river where there...More
This was on the way to the East Side Gallery. To get inside, you need to give a donation which can be anything. This is a really interesting place. We went when it was freezing but we still managed to have fun. There is a...More
We loved this place though it was a bit low key in the freezing weather. Went to see Femi Kuti on the Saturday night. Great gig - loads of energy in the venue, easy to get beers and cloakrooms etc were all good. Pretty rammed...More
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
there was a fee of two Euros to entry in the restaurant area (two years ago), music is usually in the building with a good level of concerts, mainly not for free. You can check the web page of yaam.
