Welcome sight after two hour cycle in Berlin. All their bike tours seem to stop here for lunch so was very busy. Food was good quality ( I recommend the schnitzel ) Only negative is the apparently don't take card payments and there is not a cash machine nearby ( I may be wrong there)

For a good Wiener Art Schnitzel or yummy Spätzele, this is the place to be. I assume the other disches, and especially from the grill, are equally good but this is what I eat here every time I'm in Berlin. Service could be more friendly, but I can't be bothered with that. Excellent location too!

Please do yourself a favour and order a beer and meatballs with caper sauce. DELICIOUS!!!!! Beautiful location in the Tiergarten park right by the canal. Perfect after an afternoon stroll in the park. Quench your thirst with one of the finest beers in Germany.

Had a nice lunch at this green place next to the Tiergarten. Great Flamkuche and good fingerfood. Be aware you can only pay witch cash money!

One of the busiest pubs I have ever been to in my travels across the world. The beer garden must hold 400 people and the staff cope with it all with an edge of professionalism rarely seen. Alongside the zoo and the river this place has it all. Great atmosphere nice food and an all round good night. Thoroughly recommended!

Great lunch and drinks venue at SW corner of Tiergarten. Very popular with bike tours and guides, so it can be quite packed during lunch hours. Varied menu, with some good options for specials. The Flammkuchen is always good, as is typically the special of the day. Lunch for 4 w drink comes to around € 50-60 (July 2016). Recommended.

Went there for dinner on a Saturday and even though it was very crowded we found a table. There are english menus when ordering the food at the counter. We all had pizza and it was delicious.

Ahh, such a wonderful atmosphere at Scheusenkrug, a great beer garden on the edge of Tiergarten, near the water. Lots of picnic tables to relax at, and lots of shade trees. Plus, lots of good beer, soft drinks, and snacks. A great way to spend a few hours in the afternoon. It also has an indoor section, but no one... More

Came here with our bike tour. Nice outside seating, even in the rain. We had the shrimp pasta and lentil soup with sausages...omg that soup was the best I've ever had!! So fresh and delicious. Highly recommend it! The service was slow and kinda got the orders mixed up but we were a large group and they were very busy... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
