Went there for dinner on a Saturday and even though it was very crowded we found a table. There are english menus when ordering the food at the counter. We all had pizza and it was delicious.

Ahh, such a wonderful atmosphere at Scheusenkrug, a great beer garden on the edge of Tiergarten, near the water. Lots of picnic tables to relax at, and lots of shade trees. Plus, lots of good beer, soft drinks, and snacks. A great way to spend a few hours in the afternoon. It also has an indoor section, but no one... More

Came here with our bike tour. Nice outside seating, even in the rain. We had the shrimp pasta and lentil soup with sausages...omg that soup was the best I've ever had!! So fresh and delicious. Highly recommend it! The service was slow and kinda got the orders mixed up but we were a large group and they were very busy... More

Found this place by chance whilst walking through Tiergarten. Very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours on a hot afternoon. Reasonable prices and good service. Very busy whilst we were there and any empty tables were soon occupied again. Worth a visit if in the Tiergarten near the Zoo

This is a very nice biergarten next to the zoo and at the edge of the Tiergarten parc. As soon as you are there, you just want a big glass of beer...until you order: so unfriendly and looking as if they are doing you a favour by giving you a beer (for which you pay ofcourse) No wifi

Summertime and all Berliners leave their apartments for beach, boats and beergardens. One of the most famous for more that 60 years is Schleusenkrug at Tiergarten with an exciting history: 1954, nine years after the end of World War II normality came back into town and family Fistler opened a kiosk at the Tiergarten’s main watergate – supplying folks on... This fabulous beer garden is tucked away in the southwest of Tiergarten park, next door to the Zoological gardens. Because of it's location it isn't overrun with tourists. This is where the locals go. The easiest way to get there is to take the train from Friedrichstrasse to Tiergarten station. It's then just a 5 minute walk after exiting the... More

Stopped here with Fat Bike tours and had the BBQ. It was very tasty and I enjoyed the two different mustards they had. The weather was great and it was by the water. Very enjoyable break and the food really hit the spot.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
