This is a place we likely would never have found without our friends with local knowledge. We are so grateful to them. This place is terrific! A beautifully furnished, "old school" restaurant specializing in "Ostpreussen, Westpreubben, Pommern, and Schlesien" cooking. Fantastic Prussian dishes, pig's knuckle, liver, fish, wonderful soups, all cooked to perfection and served by an attentive waitstaff. The... More

My husband, my teen daughter& myself went for dinner at Thursday night. Our hotel concierge booked us a table otherwise we won't have a place to sit. It is a small, old fashioned& family operated. We don't eat pork or drink alcohol, but still we had an unforgettable delicious dishes of pepper steak, fish fillet & Mauritius beef with a... More

Had a lovely time. The food (Crispy Duck and Snitzel) was great. The service was friendly and the owner came around to say hi and check in.

Found this on TripAdvisor. Were lucky to get a table without reservation, it was quite busy. Nonetheless service was great, sometimes efficient, then again with a chat and a smile. The food was great. I had beetrootsoup and Hefekloß with pork and plums. Tastes were great. Better make a reservation if you want to go here, which I can warmly... More

We where a family of 4 eating here. The restaurant is 100 % what you would expect from a traditional German restaurant, all the down to the curtains and decor. It could appear tacky but its not. Waitress is dressed as you would expect in Germany in the 70s which just adds to the great atmosphere. So top stars for... More

An old fashioned restaurant with a warm welcome. The menu seems to operate all year round, but some items are seasonal we discovered and not always available. Food is wholesome and plentiful, nothing subtle. Wines by the glass a little lacking in variety.

The restaurant is very clean and classy looking. The food was super, it gives you a grandma-made vibe kind of meal. All the servers were also very kind and helpful, 10\10 would come again.

Tried to get there the first night I was in Berlin but got there too late. Went there a second time and managed to get a seat. It's a relatively small, family-run (I believe) type of establishment, and it shows in the decor. You feel somewhat transported into someone's dining area, and the dishes are Prussian in nature, so it... More

Great food and atmosphere. We had our first evening meal here on arriving in Berlin. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pork fillet with fried potatoes is a must! Extremely easy to find and situated in a vibrant area surrounded by restaurants and bars. Easy to get to from any part of central Berlin (Zone A mainly) if... More

Me and my wife went to this restaurant after reading recommendations on Trip. We can only say that go there if you are in Berlin you will not be disappointed. Great rustic german cuisine with Schweinhaxe and fried potatis or knödel. The service was very nice and helpful and spoke excellent english.

Thank dasuse

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
