I would consider the food average among numerous data points that I've collected for Indian cuisine. The staff was courteous and helpful, only one being able to speak English fluently (but she was patient and very kind). It was obvious the place was understaffed, so service was slow. We had two different chicken curries, garlic naan, and rice. The food... More

Having been in this restaurant two years ago, we decided to repeat the nice experience we had then. This time, we ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani. Both dishes had excelent taste and character. In addition, we recieved salad on the house and at the end some sweet indian bread as a dessert. Finally, we also had a very... More

We've ordered online from this restaurant via one of the food delivery services. We have chosen chicken korma and chicken vindalu and we're really disappointed with their taste and quality. Chicken korma was completely different from what we used to know and eat in other Indian restaurants. It was sour, containing surprising ingredients and was very hot/spicy what is the... More

Cute place with good food, had the madras chicken which was really hot but really good, good for the cold i had. My boyfriend had chana masala, which was vegan, and he has never had this good chana masala. Loved it ❤️

I and my fiancée went to this restaurant for dinner on his birthday, based on TA-reviews. And wow, we did not regret it! We can not praise this restaurant enough. It's quite calm, and the walls are not over filled with stuff (see pics). They have a varied menu, and very reasonable prices. They cook each meal from scratch, not... More

Loved this place. The food was amazing, its not the largest portions ever received but we really enjoyed the food they had on offer. Everything was first class from the way we were greeted when we arrived until the moment we left. If you love Indian food give this place a go.

This might be the best Indian meal I've ever had. Very friendly attentive service. Family restaurant. Their English was excellent. Definitely try the Samosas!

We came here for Tripadvisor recommends. There werw two kind of experiences; great and just ok. Both firts courses were ok but quite small. One main course was great, the other (places own plate) was a bit burned and just ok. Service was really nice, location ok.

We went with my husband and they were close, just open for an private group. But they were so kind and made an exception and open a table out side for us. I will go back at any change!! One of the most delicious Indian food I have tried in my life. BTW: the group was People from India, and... More

We are open every day except of Wednesdays from 1st April 2016 from 17.00 to 23.00 hours. In September 2014 Restaurant Maharadscha has completed 30 years. We want to say a large thank you to all our guests for their faith in us. If you want to experience authentic Indian food you are here at the right address. We serve chicken, lamb, duck, fish and other seafood dishes but we do have a variety for our vegetarian and vegan guests as well. Here you can forget your prejudices against Indian food since you decide whether you want your dish mild, good-seasoned, spicy or very spicy. One of the owners is always at your side to make your visit memorable. Even though we have a large number of dishes, every meal is been prepared freshly after your order is placed. The restaurant is located very central. You can get to Maharadscha in Schoneberg easily in 5-10 minutes from the underground station Wittenbergplatz (Kudamm with KaDeWe). So tourists can easily travel to the restaurants.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
