Is a good place with a even better kitchen, everything was all right until the end of the meal... we left the restaurant and my husband left behind a pair of gloves, we come back like 2 minutes after and the waiter said that nothing was left behind. When we left the restaurant was already empty, we were the two... More

Lovely place with a friendly atmosphere without being pretentious. Partly because the menu offers hearty good quality dishes and partly because of the guests who seem to genuinely enjoy good food with good company. Personally I would have preferred a few more vegetarian options but apart from that it was a lovely, relaxed evening. I look forward to going again... More

Stumbled on this fantastic restaurant while looking for a dinner venue. Had no booking so had to seat at bar for a little while until a table was free. great French themed menu with lots of choice and great service.

Food was good (not outstanding, but solidly good). The exception was the french onion soup - that was divine!

Service is routined rude! Food is below average! I ordered Rehrücken with potato Kroketten, which were frozen inside (!) I made the service aware. That took just the potatoes away from my plate and brought it back, when I had finished my dish already. They don't even feel sorry for this, not excused, not offered something as compensation. Just presented... More

We have been here very often and normaly we have loved the food and the atmosphere. This time we were disappointed - the service was very laidback and quite often we felt ignored by the waiter. We found that the fact that we didn't buy the expensive wines and didn't take a drink before the meal had an influence on... More

I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant located in such a touristy area (few meters away from the checkpoint Charlie). But the food was great. The service too. And reasonably priced. €40 per person for a starter/main or main/dessert with a bottle of red wine.

Good menu selections for food and wine. the fish soup is particularly recommendable, although a tad salty. Wine steward was able to recommend perfect selection to accompany the Sole meuniere.

This is a French steakhouse in Berlin. It has a decent menu of steak frite variations/options and also things like duck confit. Service was serviceable for Berlin. The wine by the glass was decent. Couldn't say much for the ambiance but I think at night it might be better. I had a steak with shallot sauce. It was based on... More

This restaurant has a style, soul and great dishes. Take all the recommendation of the waiters. If you like white wine don't miss the Gewurtztraminer of Jos Meyer. Now in summer you might not need to make a reservation but in wintertime you really must if you want a table between 19:00 and 21:00... Prices are fair and you get... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
