The place is worth visiting if you want to take a trip along the best Italian wine producers - for some of them vertical tastings will be possible, which is a rarity for a restaurant! I was really impressed by the collection!!! The food was good, very good indeed. Simple, but tasty with a stress on the seafood. Good service... More

The restaurant is on Freiderichstrasse, easy to get to, as soon as you open the door you know that this is a top class place to eat... Ties everywhere ! Decor is perfect, service is very swift and efficient. The choice of food is top quality italian, meat, fish, veggie. The wine list is huge and very expensive, the cheapest... More

Located on Freiderichstrasse offered us easy convenience before heading to shopping and museums. The business lunch was surprisingly reasonably priced and delicious. (€19 for 2 course) First course of a octopus and white bean soup and my fish over a deconstructed ratatouille were beautifully executed. The 2nd course of ravioli in creamy clam sauce and mussel was equally tasty. The... More

We went there twice as we thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. It is supposed to be one of the best Italian eating places in Berllin. We would tend to agree. It is a smart restaurant with fine dining and an immense wine list. The Italian staff do not welcome scruffy people and prefer bookings. I have absolutely no problem at all... More

We started with a delicious burrata, followed by well-prepared spaghetti with clams and grilled sea bass. The reserve chianti was perfect. We completed the meal with a sorbet trio. The service was extremely pleasant and not rushed. This restaurant is on the pricey side but worth the cost for this level of food.

Very good food, elegant atmosphere. We were there for business dinner, our guests were happy with the performance. Wide selection of wines. Service was good. İ would go for a second time

The most important aspect of the restaurant namely the food was excellent (can be a bit pricey, but it's worthwhile), the service on the other hand is not up to the same standard (not interested (due to being a tourist !?), on the verge of being unfriendly, and we also had to ask 3 times before getting the bill). So... More

Good Italian restaurant with good service. Had the lunch menu, a 3-course meal. I would rather have a taste of German cuisine when in Berlin though.

We had dinner here on a recent trip to Berlin. On our previous visit here, 6 years ago, was really good, so we were keen to try it again, and we weren't disappointed. Starters of prawns with almond sauce and burrata and tomatoes, then mains of papadella ragu and lamb chops with red wine jus were excellent. Wine list has... More

Our first family visit to Berlin and my Danish friend happened to be there the same weekend he booked this restaurant for the Saturday night it was a good choice. Really nice food and great selection of wines to go with the dishes on offer. We were a table of 10 this did not affect service and all the food... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
