We go to eat there occasionally, the food is nice, colorful and somewhat balanced. However, you need to go there if you dont mind serving yourself and have time to spare. No ac inside, gets stuffy and unpleasant. A little chaotic when busy, as you...have to get your coffee at the baristas table and theres lots of people waiting for it with no number reference or proper q.More

The good thing is that this place offers good coffee all year round and at very early hours. the Breakfast are rather on the expensive side and inside it is quite loud. for more relaxing atmosphere you should sit outside!

The restaurant is located at the corner of the street, facing the metro station of Schonhauser Allee. It has a nice terrace where you can see the world go by. The menue is diverse with lots of choice. Nothing über-special but good food at a...good price. The waiters were quick and very friendly so we returned here to have dinner twice.More

It's nice, the location and atmosphere are lovely, you can sit in the sun. The food is delicious as well, however, it's quite pricey. It's not too cozy or special, nothing I would revisit, but if your looking for healthy breakfast/lunch place with lots of...options in the sun then this is your place!More

Strolling along Schönhauser Alle on a sunny spring day we saw this restaurant/cafe. The place had tables outside and we wanted to enjoy the good and warm weather. So we decided to go inside to see the selection of food and drink. It’s kind of...a self service restaurant where you order at the counter and you will be given a chip that will notify you when your order is ready for you to pick up. The food is really good. They also have salads, sandwiches and cakes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and casual. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. I really enjoy having lunch at this place and I would come back again if I’m nearby even if it’s only for a coffee or drink.More

If you want somewhere with lots of options then this is your place. For me, the menu is far too big and the design of the menu makes the place look like its only suited to children. Although the food was pretty good, the high...prices and lack of table service brings this place down for me.More

The food was very good tasty and creative but what a mess when it came to Organisation! When we arrived there were no indication on whether we could seat first! Or order first! Nothing! I asked but the waitress was a bit stressed! I don’t...mind being left alone if I know what to do! So my recommendation would be to make it clear to non locals on what to do! And maybe employ more staff to make the drinks.. it took for ever!! Oh well still worth the try.More

I went there today with my 1,5 year old baby and two of his little friends and we received the absolute worst, most outrageous treatment by the staff I have ever gotten anywhere in this entire city. We sat at the back room to have...a space for ourselves and the kids, in case they wanted to run free - like little 1,5 year old babies do. At one point, one of my son’s baby friends left the room and took a sugar container. A waitress walked into the room to immediately tell us about this and that we should take care of our babies’ behavior. Kind of understandable until this point - as we are aware that not everybody likes children. However, in the same room we were sitting with another customer, there was another waitress/cook/staff personal having her break sitting on a table. One of the kids started screaming -like for literally less than 10 seconds in total- and then she aggressively stood up from her chair AND VIOLENTLY SCREAMED AT THE BABY!!!!! She then took her plate and walked out of the room totally hostile!!!!!!! Then when we were leaving the place, one of the waitresses wanted to get out of the restaurant as my son was standing in front of the door looking outside. Again, HE IS 1,5 YEAR OLD AND JUST A BABY, so she opened the door and he hit his head against the side of the door like WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE AT SPREE GOLD? I have never ever received this treatment by anybody in Berlin. And hey, I’ve met some passive aggressive waiters before, but they were never coming against our babies. I’m actually super disappointed about this. I come everyday for breakfast to this place, and so do my other mom friends, while my son is in KITa but I’m just so distressed by what has happened today that I will never ever come back and will tell everybody I possibly can about this. It’s horrifying and completely unacceptable that something like this happens in Prenzlauer Berg. Shame on you Spreegold!More

Cool interior but food did not live up to expectations. An extremely long wait and very disappointed with the quality. Very over priced for Cold Poached Eggs & the Avocado was not fresh.

No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,
