This was a fine choice; it's a small restaurant but the tables work even if close together. They offer a varied menu with lots of options for salads, pizza, entrees and soups (desserts, of course). You definitely need a reservation

I booked a table to celebrate my husbands birthday. We arrived exactly at 7pm, than we were asked to wait outside. I have to tell, I'm pregnant and outside was about 4 Celsius and had to wait 10-15 minutes. After that we got a table, where the staff didn't got through and they were permanently kicking our chairs. Than they... More

Really enjoyed our meal at this place, we had 3 courses all of which were top quality. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Its in a central location on a main road so was easy to find, it can be quite noisy if you choose to sit outside. Would definitely recommend the cheese board, it had a great selection of... More

I really enjoyed my dinner here. I had a salad with artichokes and boiled egg- very fresh and a nice flavour combination. And I had the cheesecake for dessert. One of the best cheesecakes I've had, definitely homemade. I drank a glass of Cote du Rhone. The wine was good, but not one to rave about. It's a very small... More

Went to Sucre on Saturday evening with my wife and friends and had a great meal, great service, the place did get a little warm though. The duck breast and mash was excellent as was the goats cheese starter.

We made reservations months ago based on Tripadvisor readings. We were very happy. We took public transportation and it was not more than 10 minutes from our hotel. The restaurant has a tight squeeze and we were among local diners. the meal, service and presentation was very good. A fine meal and atmosphere!

This is a small cute restaurant in a lively neighborhood. We ordered the duck and steak. The duck was excellent and the steak was alright. The cocktails were sub-par. We should have stuck with wine. The desserts were good too - creme brulee and apple tartin. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the service.

Tasty dinner, good wine and nice friendly service! We ate outside. Charcuterie plate (with cheese) was exceptional and came with a small salad on it. Entrecôte and salmon entrees were cooked perfectly. Dinner for two with wine, aperitifs and one shared tarte tatin dessert 110€

This nice little French restaurant really evokes my wonderful memories of Paris. It feels like you are eating on the street in Paris. In fact, most people around me were speaking French, which to me is a great sign that the food is authentic. The dishes were exquisitely prepared, and the price was very reasonable. We sat outside, enjoyed people... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
