Nice, proper, on THE road next to THE television tower. Rather expensive but all right. If you cross THE street you'll see THE Berlin Dom

First morning in Berlin we found this lovely place next to Alexanderplatz. We had a great breakfast before starting a long sightseeing of the city. Varied chose of plates. We loved the croissants too. Good service and nicely furnished!

Dropped by for brunch. Food was delicious! Lots of options, fair prices and good portions. Server was very friendly and timely. Would definitely go back. If you are looking for a hearty breakfast in a nice area (open and not overcrowded) check this place out.

Nice decor, not a big place. Served some food, but we only went in for a drink. Not a huge selection but adequate enough. Nice peaceful place to relax and watch the world go by. Had 2 rounds of drinks. Wine and beer and it cost 17 euros so not bad at all.

They made us paid for a small piece of butter and marmalade because was not on the "breakfast" offer. They refused to warm up our croissant because they were "fresh" The orange juice is not natural just from bottle.

We passed by this café to get some cake and ice cream. The environment is pleasant and the waitresses were quite overloaded. We asked for waffles, one with bananas and a second with strawberries. After some delay, they brought nice-looking waffles. However, we were disappointed by the heavyweight of the pasta.

During our trip to Berlin, my family chose to visit this cafe twice for our breakfast. Each time, my sister & I shared the amazing meat/cheese/egg continental breakfast platter (can't remember the German name for it - sorry!) which also included a glass of sparkling wine and fresh orange juice. It was delicious, and brilliant value for money. They also... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
