To be honest, I didn't know so much about South American cuisine despites the fact that guinea pigs are a current daily meal in Peru. Also the usual Brazilian pork and bean stews don't attract me that much. The only positive association I had were those giant steaks from Argentina. But that's even more connected to Texas for me so... More

I was surprised by the location at first. But when you come there it feels very intimate. Feels like it is open only for you. This was my first time to try Chilean food. All was new and very delicious. Great wine + well offered aperitif. Owner is serving gets themselves and supervise the all people. Menu is short, which... More

This restaurant adds something a little different to Berlin with Chilean cuisine. The service was friendly, food perfectly cooked and prices fair. There is a good choice of wine available, meat and fish choices.

Berlin is a paradies for food lovers. We love the huge choise of so many different tastes. Due to the great reviews here on this forum we reserved a table at La Tia Rica. We were not familiar with the Chilean kitchen so it was a little challange. But when we arrived, sat down at our table and the very... More

I just love this place. It is small, the owner and his daughter run the restaurant and oversee the wait staff, food and serve wine. They cannot be more friendly. I took a business colleague to dinner here and they didn't disappoint. The starter, main meal and dessert was just perfect. They suggested a Chilean wine which was a perfect... More

Wonderful "typico" dishes, good service, great location. Added to a nice wine list and delicious pisco sours, this restaurant is worth a stop. Reservations suggested.

We chose this restaurant due to great reviews in TA, and because we were full of fat, greasy, heavy German food. And what a pleasant surprise it was! Aperitif drink recommended by waiter was really brisk and food to follow very tasty. We ate rabbit and meat skewer and both were superb. Chilean Carmenere suited perfectly with the meal. And... I must say this was the best restaurant we ate at in Berlin so far! V. cozy ambiance, with a warm welcome from the owner. The food was great, we had fish ceviche, chilean salad, quinotto with calamari/jumbo shrimp, and bbq'd meat a la chilean with a bottle of wine, all bingos! The service also was very sweet. Price is... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
