Worth a look. The latte here is to die for. Good strudel by any standard. Take a moment to drop by here.

Latte Art, the great taste (and not the least SMELL) of coffee. Free wifi, friendly staff and nice environment. Nice range of yoghurt, müesli and freshly baked cakes but no breakfast menu as such.

The coffee seems to be excellent EVERYWHERE in Germany. Einstein Kaffee was no exception. We stopped in before we caught our train to Leipzig. Recommended.

We stopped into Einstein Kaffee for a very welcome coffee after a 3 hours train ride to Berlin. The coffee was good but we highly recommend the apple strudel.....just what you need to set you up for a full day of touring Berlin. Yummy......

We wandered into the branch just by Checkpoint Charlie. It wasn't too busy mid-morning despite being in such a touristy area. Two very nice coffees were quickly brought up the friendly staff and we able to sit in the window watching the activity by the checkpoint. We also visited the branch near Berlin zoo where we had nice hot chocolates.

So much better than Starbucks coffee, no doubt. The only problem is to find them; don't know how many there are.

When you order a mocha and the waitress gives you a hot chocolate and tells you "smell it, it's coffee"...you aren't in right conditions to give a positive comment here. Very expensive (touristic place) for medium quality, and the personnal doesn't care about you.

I loved everything at the place. One of the best coffees I had anywhere in the world I have been. Perfectly made. Fast and friendly service. English speaking servers which is a super plus for me. Highly recommended for a super authentic coffee.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
