Found this restaurant by chance and decided to give it a go. Lovely traditional German dishes and the portions are huge! Lovely intimate atmosphere and good grub. Perfect.

We barely managed to find a table, as it seems to be crowded all the time. We had an enjoyable brunch, with delicious food and a variety of desserts. Service is quick and good. Recommend it when around!

Found this place by accident on our 2nd night in Berlin, so good we went back every night afterwards, and even went for lunch on our last day. We went for more traditional fare, it was amazing. Portion size was good, but key to the thumbs up was that everything was fresh, v v tasty and served hot. The serving... More

Lovely way to end an evening. We had a moorish cheese cake and a fab cup of coffee. Very good service from our host Özlem so kind and attentive. Made our day. See you in the morning for breakfast :)!

I don't know why I sat down here without checking reviews first but I couldn't have been more disappointed on all levels. The service was really terrible, as the waitress for sure hated her job, probably because they were understaffed. I asked her for Tabasco and she came back 10 mins later saying she didn't have any. Then I ask... More

This restaurant is located at Nollendorfplatz, near to many others, and serve southern German food. The service was very good and the food was tasty. Another nice thing is that since the weather was warm we could sit outside for our lunch, really great!

Friendly stuff, good food, specially the Schnitzel and with that: german beer. The Restaurant is located in the gay-district of Berlin: Nollendorfplatz, and Motzstrasse. It's nice to seat outside, if possible in sunny days, to have a view to the local food market: Winterfeldtmarkt.

The servic wasn't friendly, they were kinda stressed about us. The food came after 1h of waiting what was definitely too long and the asparagus were wooden and actually it was a bad start into our shorttrip.

We used this restaurant about four times over our Easter break stay. It was a gay friendly restaurant with a lovely relaxed atmosphere with a good choice of menu items and good standard of food. Open morning noon and night and conveniently placed. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
