Wanted to go here with a friend a few weeks ago for only (!) a coffee (we are both from this neighbourhood in Berlin) and the staff was absolutely rude, saying they won't even get us seated or served in the next 20 minutes, although some tables were free and not reserved. Their attitude and communication was just not professional... More

This is a lovely, welcoming neighbourhood cafe and bistro, open 10am to 10 pm daily, except Sundays when it closes at 6.00pm. Staff and customers alike have character and humour. They do a very decent version of the trans-European standby snack - the cheese and ham toasted sandwich, nice Assam tea, and perfectly chilled Berliner Pilsener.

nearby the park sits the Manstein cafe at the corner, cars have to go slowly so that an outside sitting is really comfortable! i came here spontaneously , being hungry and ordered one of their homemade quiches, which are delicious, same with the coffee and the bakery. service is attentive and really relaxed, friendly. check out the bathroom, it's funny... Spent a good few hours having a lazy breakfast in this cool laid back cafe. Popular with the locals which is always a good sign.

Perfect for breakfast, brunch or lunch if you're visiting the Charlottenburg Schloss. Very nice staff and good food. It sits on a corner facing the Lietzenseepark, so do take a walk there. The tables were a bit on the small side, but otherwise, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
