Following a sobre morning visit to the Topography of Terror in the morning a wee "pick me up" was needed. This unassuming little cafe, based in the heart of the Mitte district, was just the ticket!...it is small so be prepared to wait for a seat at busy times...when we arrived the outside seating was full but managed to grab... Princess cheesecake is expensive. The cake were good and sweet. The service was really nice but it took too long for just 2 pieces of cakes. Good place to hang out with friends cause it is not too noisy.

Excellent cheesecakes, probably the best in Mitte, or Berlin. Difficult to choose and have just one. The girls serving the tables are extremely nice. Special selection of tees. Go after meal from one of the good restaurants around.

For a start...I'm a huge fan of cheesecakes, so when I saw this place on the Internet, I tought I had to give it a go. I tried a toffee cake and the classic New York cheesecake. They were both amazing...strong flavours, well balanced. A quality product for sure. That's why I came back also the day after...and I would... More

Excellent place for coffee and sweets! I strongly recommend the white lady cake with pistachio and white chokolate and the caramel cheesecake! It has such a pleasant atmosphere! The shop is decorated in a lovely "girly" style!

I am a very big fan of cheesecake, if there is one food I would reach to if I am feeling naughty, it would be cheesecake and this place has got to be no.1 for cheesecake in my books. The shop is small but has adequate seating both inside and out for customers. When you enter, you are greeted by... More

Good little bakery with casual environment. Cakes are good but I would not say they are some of the best I have ever had.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
