If you read the title then you can guess what this review is about. I am a huge lover of tofu, seitan and different varieties of mushrooms. That’s exactly what you get here. This place is so creative with their ingredients and I have been going here for years.

AMAZING !!!
i had the wantun soup and it was so yummy. i came in with a blocked up nose because of my hayfever and i’ve left feeling incredible :)
great value for money and very quick service - i will be coming back for lunch tomorrow

Had a few good Vietnamese vegan dishes in Berlin (SOY, Creasian) but in my opinion Chay Viet is the best. Visited quite early in the evening & it wasn’t too busy, I imagine it gets much busier later. I had the summer rolls to start and then the Mi Quang soup - both were excellent. Would definitely recommend to all vegans living in/visiting Berlin.

Been visiting that place for years now but after witnessing an absolutely unacceptable and clearly racist behavior of their staff today I certainly won't eat there again.
The staff has never been the friendliest but the good food always made up for it. Unfortunately the food didn’t seem fresh more and more often lately and today I witnessed how the waitress completely ignored a clearly not German looking and neither speaking female guest that tried her best to place an order in English. Even after another guest offered her help to translate the waitress just waved her off, leaving a completely shocked women behind. I cant remember witnessing this kind of straight up racist behavior in more than 10 years living in Berlin. Unbelievable!

Delicious foodthis restaurant was just around the corner of our hotel and the it was very croudy and the food was delicious. Crew was not so spontaneously but didn't matter that much. Price quality is more than good

Tofu Soup MI QUANG (#21) was a discovery for me and I cannot recommend it enough! I come regularly for a bowl of this soup especially in winter.

As I have written, Berlin has several very good vegetarian or vegan Vietnamese restaurantants. I ate at Chay Viet maybe four or more years ago, some time after it first opened. Perhaps it was one of the first vegetarian Vietnamese restaurants in the city. Since then there are many more.
The food is quite good here. The restaurant is large, so there are many tables. However the service was very poor this time.

Delicious - full of flavour and vegetables, served quickly in a lovely environment. And a really good price! We paid €25 for an entree and two mains.

I come here after my yoga classes. My favorites are nr. 14, nr. 21 or nr. 31. Chia sensation or the apple/mint drink as beveridge. I really believe its the best vegan place in town.

I live around the corner and eat here once a week when I can. Super lovely service, fantastic, original dishes and the best place to impress your guests with good food that you don't cook yourself ;-) Interior might not be the most hipster like (il Hamdu lilah) but be the roller coaster of tastes and friendliness will for sure impress you. Tip: nr 14!! You can thank me later

We all really enjoyed our meals, we went for the milder dishes. My family actually said it was their favourite meal in a while, the food was tasty, service good and it was great value.

We came here on a weekday and it was decently full, so we had quite high hopes going in.
It’s great that they had so many vegan dishes! (Basically fully vegan menus)
The service was very friendly and quite fast and the wantans were pretty good too.
Then mains however were not so good...the rice noodles were very oily and garlicky...
The curry was super watery and not very flavorful at all...
The portions were quite big and the price was very reasonable so that’s something.

This is a really nice and cozy little Vietnamese restaurant in a really quiet residential neighbourhood and it is packed. A packed eatery is always a good sign. A friend booked a table for us and we had a beautiful meal served by a very patient and smiling waiter. The menu is extensive but not so large that you cannot decide easily. There are several vegetarian and vegan options and the portions are good for one person. The decor is unpretentious and basic but the energy is warm and welcoming. If you’re in the area and you’re lucky enough to snag a table here - take the chance. Enjoy!

We walked past and thought it looked like a nice little restaurant but thought nothing more of it. A few days later we were struggling to think of somewhere to eat and decided to give this place a go. We went in and realised it was a vegetarian only menu which was a little disappointing however we decided to give it a go and I ordered the dumplings and my partner ordered a tofu soup and we both really enjoyed it. I’d even go as far as saying that it was our favourite time eating out. The service was really good even though there was a slight language barrier since we don’t speak German they accommodated us really well.
