I've been here once with friends, the food was really fresh, the smoothie really good as well. We had the omelette and toasted bread with salmon-avocado-salad, don't remember the exact name but everything was tasty and healthy! Maybe the service-system is a bit messy, but we didn't wait too much. Prices a bit over the Berlin average.

Spreegold looks nice and hip: bare wood, cosy lighting, easy going servers. The food is ok, but don't expect here anything spectacular - it's all 100% correct and not much more, no vivid tastes, no surprising dishes. As for price-quality ratio seems a bit expensive.

We visited Spreegold twice during our visit to Berlin and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Discovered this restaurant by chance on the around me function of this app. The restaurant was spacious with trendy wood decor and huge windows opening onto the road. The menu was short and to the point offering breakfast and light lunch options. On the first visit... More

A 4 euro coffee and the kaffe sua was only like 4 sips and full of ice. The barista did not even care when I asked why the coffee portion was so small. Ordered pancacked with bacon, bacons were not crispy and so few,,,,pancakes were good thought

The food was excellent, so fresh and tasty, and it was nice sitting at the picnic tables outside. Unfortunately the service was painfully slow. Wouldn't have seemed so frustrating if we hadn't noticed other tables ordering after us and getting their food before us.

We found this place looking for a good Breakfast spot on our first day in Berlin. I had the Paleo pancakes and they were absolutely delicious. Best breakfast I've had in Europe. All the staff including the chef was so friendly, orders came out promptly. On the Thursday lunch they were very busy so we understand it takes time to... More

Service was extremely disappointing. Waited 30 minutes for my coffee and when this was questioned with the staff, they made it seem like we were being outrageous! Food isnt anything special either.

Well, especially don't order a coffee because you'll lose half of your day. We waited over 30 minutes for a coffee. The barista had ZERO system. Whoever came up and complained (a lot) got moved to the front of the queue. Our orders were forgotten because we didnt complain. Lesson learnt. No apology from them, absolutely useless staff. Glad to... More

This place serves the best pancakes! I had the paleo pancakes, topped with banana and dark chocolate, accompanied by fresh fruits, mmmmmm! The drinks are awesome as well. I would recommend tasting a fresh iced tea or a fruitshake.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
