Every time I visit Berlin, I just have to go and enjoy a lunch at Salut. The atmosphere is nice and authentic, also busy, yes, but the place still feels cozy relaxed. Food is always tasty and fresh, and there's a lot of different choices to pick.

I noticed many locals go in and out this place. Usually a very positive sign. So it was also this time. Salut serves a rich choice mediterranean everyday dishes, nothing fancy, but quite ok and tasty. The big platter for 6 € is a bargain and includes tea to accompany the spicy food. The interior is tight and cozy and... More

A small, nice place. Great, tasty mediterranean food. Mixed teller, just tasty. And cheap. Only 6.50€ big plate. Nice decoration and very friendly stuff!

This is a great find. Concept is that there a several hot splashes available, and lots of mere dips and salads. You choose either a large or small plate, consisting of a selection of the dishes of the day. Large plate costs 6 euros, small 4 50. All the food is home cooked, very tasty and clearly served by people... More

Tasty food and very informal eat. With the principle of a buffet, with hot and cold options, menu changes every day and you can choose a small plate at about 4€ or a big plate at about 6€. Do not be fooled by the cheap prices, it tastes very authentic and fresh.

Friendly, fresh, delicious and fairly priced, thus deservedly crowded - it's my 2nd review, my opinion hasn't changed.

Food was good, the restaurant has a warm, Greek island tavern look, the way the dishes were preserved though, reminded me a Kettering vitrine or a Kebab shop in France...

Went based on review here in TripAdvisor, because we were nearby and in need of a late lunch. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and explained to us how the concept works. As described in several other reviews, you get a plate based on the dishes/selections of the day; €6,50 for a big plate and €4 for a small. My... More

My nephew found this place on TripAdvisor while studying in Berlin and makes it a point to go at least once a week. He took us there, including a very picky 13 year old, and for 6 euros we got a huge plate of food all of which was delicious, even for the picky 13 year old! She loved the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
