Super comfortable sofa and chairs, great chai latte, which you can order vegan If you wish, and nice place to hang, write, or read a book. Great environment.

One of my favorite breakfast/ brunch locations with a modern menu and fantastic egg options. Great coffee and friendly service, super cosy inside in winter. The only real problem is trying to get a table during busy times, I have on occasion in summer waited 40 minutes and then experienced very slow service. Best to avoid peak times and plan... More

A colleague and I decided to take a break from the office and spend our morning at Café KRONE and we never regretted that choice. This was hands down one of the best - if not the best - breakfast experience in Berlin so far! The staff was great and really made you feel welcome and - in combination with... More

Came here because reasonable place with lots of breakfast items on the way to mauerpark. Contrary to what is the norm in Germany there is a please wait to be seated policy, something we overlooked, leading to the first run in with the service personnel who were a bit on the brusque side. Given it was Sunday and they probably... More

Krone was spacious and laid back. Very clean and super staff! Family friendly, but also very couple-ish definetely and the menu was full of different options for breakfast, you can easily modify your plates. They even had specials of the month. For the looks, sizes and the quality the prices were so cheap on my opinion! From pancakes to soup!... More

Are you looking for a nice bar, with just amazing breakfast offer? You are in the right place. Everything was so good: drinks, food and service. Also the atmosphere is very informal and young. Really suggested.

Krone was everything their best reviews said it will. It is a crowded place for sure, because it is good. And even if your sitting by the window sill with bars it does not spoil the atmosphere because of the good service and tasty nourishing food. With all the capricious character and eating habits of mine I would most definitely... More

Recently ate a lovely lunch at Krone where the menu was packed full of breakfast and lunch goodies. I had the krone sandwich (pic attached) which was chicken, avo, bacon and salad in lovely toasted bread and a decent portion. As my wife can't have gluten she had the same as a salad. Ingredients were fresh and tasty! We enjoyed... More

Visited Krone Cafe when we were after some breakfast and good pancakes to enjoy on our last day in Berlin. And I can say they did not disappoint! We had banana with maple syrup and whipped cream which was to die for. Breakfast was poached eggs on toast which came with a side salad and I ordered a cappuccino. I... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
