My German officemate suggested to me to check out a vöner place to satisfy my dönet cravings while still staying veggie. Little did i know just how life-changing this experience would be! Outrageously tasty dinner (I had the vönerteller platter, and can honestly say that these are some of the best fries on this side of the pond!) served by... More

Excellent vegetarian döners. Fresh vegetables and very good seitan. My boyfriend took a burger and it was harmonic and extravagantly nice burger even for a carnivore. Portions were huge, I couldn't eat everything. Prices were also cheap. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Went really out of my way in a pouring rain +an empty stomach. Imagine my mood once I found the door locked and chairs all stocked up (I came at 13:15 when it was supposed to be open from 12. The app says it's open). Such a pity, because I was really looking forward to trying the food

We found lovely staff and and the vegan food was delicious. Special mention to the fries which were amazing as well. The currywurst and the vegan doner were delicious although make sure to ask for it in a wrap. Cheap and vegan. I would love to go again.

Once I told a friend in the U.K SOMEWHERE SOMEBODY must have a kebab place with a huge lump of wheat gluten (seitan) drizzling with olive oil as an alternative to the meat version- and lo and behold eventually I found it!

This place pretty much Kickstarter my vegan journey 3 years ago. It was great to go back, I had one of their awesome burgers. It's cheap and tasty food.

A must for vegans going to Berlin. Located near and in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Berlin. Only place I've ever seen veggie meat cooked on vertical rotisserie. Get the döner, which comes in pita looking delicious bread, topped with fresh veggies and whatever sauce you want. Sooo good.

I never thought I would be eating a kebab as a vegan, I cant say its something that I've ever craved but this was absolutely delicious. I visited here twice during my trip, first time I had the vegan kebab in pitta and the second time I had the wrap. The pitta was definitely better, the wrap was a little... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
