A small Vietnamese restaurant in the Huttenstraße in between the numerous of Lebanese restaurants is called Fam. Dang. Let me tell you this: with pleasure I go eat there. As I live just around the corner and have been to Thailand and Vietnam for a backpack tour, I like the Asian food style. Only a few tables in and outside... More

We came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We certainly weren't disappointed as the food was amazing and good value. A word of warning - no credit cards, cash only.

Having traveled to Vietnam 2 years ago I rarely go to a Vietnamese cafe because I usually am disappointed. But this place is good. They have Saigon beer and a good choice of phô and other dishes. If you want something unique and not your average Berlin diner I would go here!

In this neighborhood almost no Asian restaurant. But I found this vietnamese restaurant completely packed by locals at lunch time. Fast and friendly service. And money wise a very good deal. Big bowls for the soups and not smaller ones for the other dishes! My duck Kross was not excellent but the vegetables were. Combined with the tea, i paid... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
