A really quaint local restaurant the pork fillet was good and the service was top class. The prices were reasonable as well.

But the attitude of the staff just to try and book a table was appalling, we tried to book a table for the following day but we were told we couldn't because of the theatre! Surely a booking is a booking!

On food alone, I'd probably give this place 3 stars. A traditional menu, the food served is tasty and good value, if not mindblowing. However, the atmosphere of the place elevates it to a 4 star review. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. The ambience is refreshing after a few days of other restaurants, with no pretentions - this... More

We arrived around 845pm on a Sunday evening, were immediately seated and greeted warmly by the waitress. Over the next 2 hours we had a fabulous meal including starters (potato soup was amazing, not creamy but more rustic with yummy bacon chunks and baguette on the side), our main courses which were huge (the trout was the most loved in... Very good value and plenty of space to sit outside on a warm July evening. However, my wiener schnitzel had clearly been cooked in yesterday’s oil for frying fish which didn’t do much for the flavour. My companion fared much better with a mixed grill. Friendly staff, and an extensive menu; perhaps I didn’t choose well or somebody made a... More

Boulevard is a kind of bistro, small and cozy. Of course we ordered eisbein and it was delicious. Beer, white and red wine are also available and all of them are affordable. We were greeted by Peter, a good and fun waiter.

Ate the classic Wienerschnitzel here and it was allright. Service was kind and the restaurant also gets a lot of locals at lunch hour so the vibe was great.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
