I like meat. I want to eat meat as part of most, if not every, main meal. However when you're dining out with someone who's vegan you really have to go to a vegan restaurant. Vegetarian options in a mainstream restaurant just won't do. So we found ourselves at Viasko. And it really is a very good restaurant - lovely... More

On a summer night there is no better place than this. Nice atmosphere outside, kind service, very good food and not too expensive. I definetely recommend it and will go there again!

Main courses were absolutely brilliant, on par with much more expensive vegan options in berlin... and the portions were really big. One main was more than enough for me. Desserts were tasty, but nothing to brag about. Service was fast and atmosphere very pleasent and friendly. For a drink, a main and dessert I paid 25 eur, which is comparable,... More

Had a wonderful meal here with some friends last night. We ordered 4 different mains and all tried a little bit from each. Each dish was very tasty and unique. Perhaps I was getting a bit tired of most german food. Lots of vegetables, and very tasty. You don't have to be vegan or vegetarian (I'm not) to enjoy this... More

If you are a vegan person, this is a heaven. Amazing ambiance and food. Everything is vegan and they do have some amazing organic coke and drink selection. Do eat their Gyros (Turkish Doner/Shorma). Its delicious. Also tofu/avocado canapes are one of the best starters I have ever eaten.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
