After having flown into Berlin from Liverpool and booking into the Park Inn Radisson Blu in Alexanderplatz we couldn't wait to get out and enjoy the vibrant nightlife of the many pubs, bars and restaurants of this city and especially the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. We were heading to the wonderful Old pub Metzer Eck and decided to drop... More

Visited every day during a short stay, mostly for breakfast and once for lunch, because very close to our hotel. Breakfast serves excellent espresso and cappuccino, croissants, toast, eggs and more. Food is fresh and the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommended.

Highly recommend this cafe for a great breakfast. We had the Irish breakfast and Mr. Benedict. The wait was not long, the food was worth every cent!

Great selection of breakfast options. Food was very good as was the service. Amazing iced tea and coffee! Decor inside is quirky and there is seating outside. Visited here 4 years ago and it was just as good second time round.

Came for breakfast on a Friday morning. First of all - beautiful and relatively quiet neighborhood. The cafe itself is very charming and staff is friendly and polite. My all recommendation to this special place. Would like to return again !

I stayed in the neighborhood and popped in for coffee several times on my stay in Berlin. Retro cafe with laid-back athmosphere. I tried the mango cheesecake and a rhubarb-cake, both very good. The coffee (americano) is excellent. Quick service with a smile. Will be back on my next visit to Berlin.

Delicious Flammkuchen with bacon and spring onions and a mineral water, served with a friendly smile. Convenient location on the M2.

Been there twice in two days. Yummy cakes, the best cappuccino I had out of Italy since ages and a great selection of breakfast/brunch! The atmosphere is vintage and cozy. Lovely, although the service is rather slow... You should really enjoy your time there without being in hurry!

Thank madpal

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
