Came for breakfast on a Friday morning. First of all - beautiful and relatively quiet neighborhood. The cafe itself is very charming and staff is friendly and polite. My all recommendation to this special place. Would like to return again !

I stayed in the neighborhood and popped in for coffee several times on my stay in Berlin. Retro cafe with laid-back athmosphere. I tried the mango cheesecake and a rhubarb-cake, both very good. The coffee (americano) is excellent. Quick service with a smile. Will be back on my next visit to Berlin.

Delicious Flammkuchen with bacon and spring onions and a mineral water, served with a friendly smile. Convenient location on the M2.

Been there twice in two days. Yummy cakes, the best cappuccino I had out of Italy since ages and a great selection of breakfast/brunch! The atmosphere is vintage and cozy. Lovely, although the service is rather slow... You should really enjoy your time there without being in hurry!

The atmosphere is amazing here, it is very cozy and comfy! The staff are also friendly and approachable. I had the cheese and ham omelette which was excellent! It was served with a side salad and bread. I also had an ice coffee and orange juice both of which were also great. We went after seeing reviews about the Irish... More

We had breakfast twice at Heldi. The food is simple yet tasty and healthy. The selection of eggs, sausages, fruits and mueslis is quite large. The lattes were very good. The selection of teas was also quite impressive although we did not try them. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I warmly recommend this place for... More

Nice cafe not far from famous Wasserturm Prenzlauer Berg. Plenty of places to sit outside and very cosy inside. Different breakfast variations with prices about 6 - 8 euros. We've tried two variants and they were delicious! Service was good too.

We waited one hour and forty minutes for our breakfast at Cade Hilde today, even though they weren't that busy. I think the waitress forgot we were there multiple times. I love brunch, and it's nice to linger, but this was exaggerated and no one ever checked in with us or asked if we needed anything. The breakfast was ok,... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
