First found out about this bar by word of mouth. Some friends who had recently visited Berlin recommended it to me so decided to give it a try. I can not recommend it highly enough, the staff are very friendly and service is always excellent. There is a wide range of cocktails to suit all tastes including non-alcoholic ones at... More

This place was juist what we were looking for on a Saturday night out with friends! This place is very cozy, with lots of seating inside and outside. The menu is filled with a lot of different cocktails. I tried the Bahama Mama, which I liked a lot! The staff is very friendly and speaks English :) When you visit... More

Laid-back style, cool and cozy interior, fantastic drinks! Both the mojito and mango daiquiri blew us away. Yum!

This bar was just what we were looking for! Lots of outdoor seating, and large open windows gave the indoor seating a great atmosphere as well. The service was excellent, and the staff was eager to help with suggesting fun drinks! Great end to our weekend in Berlin!

Having a drink here is like going back to the 70s or visiting your Grandma whose interior design has not changed! It is awesome. Great drinks and friendly atmosphere. Insider tip: get the Moscow Mule!

We just happened to come across this bar and what a find! A long list of cocktails. Mine was delicious and a good range of beers too. Lovely decor with comfy sofas and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?

We came here (a group of 6), for a beer or cocktail. We ended up spending several hours here, talking laughing and enjoying a good night out in Berlin. Wait staff was friendly and prompt and the beer was wonderful. Great place!

Loved the bar and the music, atmosphere was great, but the guy behind the bar was really rude and unfriendly. Made us feel uncomfortable so we left straight after. Could have spent all night there. Perhaps the bar staff need some training in how to speak to customers.

Nice change of pace after all the hipster bars with cracked walls and eclectic decorations Berlin has to offer. Good place to have a quiet drink with some Louis Armstrong playing at a reasonable volume. Service was friendly. Classy but not snobby. We'll be back.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
