Very expensive! Two schnitzels, two Coca Cola and one French fries 54,5€! The schnitzel was big but not so much in order to cost 20€! Also the waiter was persistent about the tip!!!!

Panelled in wood the restaurant has a beer hall atmosphere. The host was very obliging letting us have a table early provided we were out by 8 pm as there was a reservation for that time. This was easy as the service was efficient and cheerful. The roast pork with crackling and Bavarian cabbage was delicious as was the apple... More

Here you should not expect anything else than real original German food. In a characteristic 'Bierhalle' setting, crowded with both German and foreign guest, and an old-fashioned good staff. We enjoyed it extremely, had a good evening. The menu mainly consists of several kinds of 'Wurst', Schnitzel, Schweinebraten, Haxe. As is appropriate in a restaurant like this, vegetarians will have... More

An extremely popular venue and wise to book. Augustiners is essentially a Bavarian beer establishment that serves very good food at reasonable prices - there is a good atmosphere and plenty of noise with people enjoying themselves.

I can state that this is a typical German restaurant and the atmosphere is quite welcoming. Service is efficient and satisfying and people working there offer a warm ambiance to clients. Food is good and local dishes are gratifying especially if one would love the typical cabbage cooking.

this is a nice pub in serious area but maybe has had too too many tourists. Its clear they hadn't cleaned some of their beer lines in a while and the service was very dismissive. There are better places to go to get treated badly

Good food with large portions. Large seating area. Food is a bit pricey though, but I guess that may be due to the location. Similar food in Munich wouldn't be as pricey, but the food was very good.

Great place. Nice atmosphere. Service in terms of speed was OK. Ruined by weird ignorant staff. 5 stars if they get normal staff.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
