I had the dim sum with duck and truffles for starter, but the truffle was a bit bland to the taste, and almost wet. Not really sure it was worth the supplement. Pikeperch for main course, would most likely not feed a small kitten. I normally have no objection to portions being small, since I like to enjoy food without... More

Excellent food- not really excellent staff, considering the price range. One could clearly see the staff coming out of the kitchen furiously, even being nasty to other colleagues, and suddenly putting on a really fake smile when arriving at the table. The staff's behaviour during this evening made me feel uncomfortable, especially when I compare it to the Michelin restaurant... More

I would not realize that this type of ASIAN style of cook exists in the middle of Europe, Berlin. Food is delicious and the chef could keep the taste of its origin. Service, decoration and wine made a complete meal for me. I would really recommend anyone who likes to have a real quality ASIAN food to come and visit... More

We dined here our last evening in Berlin. Reservations required---only 2 seatings per evening. We knew it would be expensive in advance, but it is worth it. Every detail is perfect. The staff are expertly trained. All speak fluent English. We decided on the 6-course tasting menu. Outstanding. Not only are there 6 courses, but with the in-between items, there... More

The food will be an experience you won't forget in a lifetime - neither the shock when you'll receive the bill. PS: The bill will be brought to you by waiters in sneakers. Well, at least this part certainly makes the restaurant Berlin-like.

I would honestly tell you that the chefs were perfect and talented at making every special dish with at least two to three different tastes at the same dish!!! It's absolutely like eating some food from another world!!! The chefs were perfect and they knew what they were doing but please don't eat our ingredients while making dishes. It is... More

Worth the 8-hour train ride to get to eat here! I had the lunch (which I heard the restaurant is pretty famous for) and it was extremely good. A breakdown of the courses I had: Sashimi - My least favorite course, extremely spicy and didn't have much in terms of flavor. Pigeon - Very good flavors, and cooked extremely well.... More

Eating at a 2* Michelin Restaurant was a new experience for me. My friend & I chose the signature 6 course tasting menu. Yes, it was expensive - but I'd never before had meals like I see on all the gourmet cooking shows on TV. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. The service was perfect. New plates and silverware for each... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
