Not too far off the beaten track, this place sells traditional food at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and know their food! With a good selection of food, beer, wine and liqueurs, this is the place to go to. I had a super time here - Toni the waiter was full of fun and made us very welcome. Do... More

A bit of a tourist trap. Lovely looking and welcoming style restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly. Ordered the touted Spaetzle and salad and it was a huge, congealed portion of macaroni noodles. The Bratwurst dish was average.

We visited here on a Tuesday evening and were glad we booked a table because it was very busy. Staff were very friendly. Ordered Schnitzel and bratwurst and both were huge portions and delicious. Good selection of beers too. Strudel for dessert was also lovely.

We arrived there on a Saturday evening, around 22:00 o'clock. The place was almost full but we found a table for two. Me and my husband had some of the "Berliner Specials", which came in about 10 minutes. The atmosphere was pleasant, food was delicious and the beer was excellent! Would definitely come back!

Full with locals. Typical German beer and meals. We had no reservation but we were offered a table if we were willing to share with somebody else. A German couple joined us later. Good beer, good food, excellent and friendly service and nice music and atmosphere. Food came fast and prices were good.

Book in advance! We were lucky that we could get a seat for a couple of hours before the big rush. We were happy to eat quickly as the food was so delicious. The pork was delicious, the beer was tasty and the schnapps a little sharp! This was a recommendation from a local and we would definitely pass this... More

We visited on a lunchtime as evenings so busy, atmosphere and surroundings really good. Food was gorgeous we both had giant bratwurst with herb potatoes and sauerkraut and a couple of beers (plus a raspberry liqueur)it was fabulous. Service friendly and efficient. A visit here is a must.

We came in rather late, which was completely our fault and quickly rushed through the menu to pick out a couple dishes. I absolutely loved everything we ordered. The staff was fantastic as well. I really wish I was staying in Berlin longer, that way I could go back!

Wonderful atmosphere, beer and food. Recommended by our hotel as the "best German bar/restaurant in the area". Reservation is a must as it gets exceedingly busy.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
