My husband's steak was overcooked, while mine was perfect. The mashed potatoes were way too sour cremey for both of us, but the salami appetizer was delicious. I also had a great cheese cake for dessert. Overall, we both thought this was a pretty average place. Nothing special, but nothing terrible.

What an amazing place. I have never eaten such fantastic meat. The staff were just the best recommending the wine to go with your choice of beef.It was so good we woke up the following morning and still remembered the taste YUM. An absolute must if you love great steak

Though a bit pricy this place is a meat lovers dream, and definitely worth spending a little extra! The steaks are the center of attention in Filetstück, with many different kinds of steaks to choose from and only a few selected and very tasty side orders. Our waiter was very welcoming and had great knowledge about the food and wines,... More

I have to be honest and say I found it disappointing. We came for lunch so I have no idea if that makes a difference. However, I just did not find it to be anything to entice me back. A bit boring and nothing different from other good steak places in the city.

In this place, you'll find extremely good meat, very well cooked joined up with good service. Try out the specials they have from time to time. A definite recommendation!

As the name "Filetstück" predicts, it´s not a restaurant for vegetarians or even vegans. The quality of the meat is top and part of the show (or restaurant equipment) is their own "dry chamber". The staff is great and friendly, the prices are also remarkable.

A friend recommended this as it's quite off the beaten track. It's a small restaurant but very popular. Service was attentive and the food was lovely. The steak was cooked perfecly and was very succulent. The sides were standard size (just be careful you mention you're allergic to nuts as they came with a sprinkle on top of the potatoes)... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
