We had brunch here a couple of times when we visited Berlin during October. Very cool place, people and atmosphere. Very busy!

We were in Berlin for 7 days and I went to Kaffee Mitte 3 times. First time was just for coffee in the evening and twice for breakfast. The scrambeled eggs are delicious. The serving portions are also excellent. This is a great place for anything!

Had a great stop for coffee and some snacks. Right next to Ubahn stop Weinmeisterstr. in a good shopping area in Berlin. Popular place for locals and tourists. The drinks and snack all tasted good - service from staff ok. Indoor and outdoor seating. NB; cash only!

I came here to do some work on my laptop, and it's probably not the best spot, as they hardly one spot inside to charge your laptop, but the pasta I've ordered was amazing (Papardele bolognese), at a decent price for mitte, and massive portion. Staff are also nice! Cons: they didnt accept cards, and had to pack my laptop,... More

It is a nice and cosy self-service place in the middle of one of the shopping areas. Service staff is friendly. The food however... We had Pasta Bolognese. Tiny portion, hardly any mince, flavour flat. For 8.50 Euro... I don't need to go back.

If you like the cool ambience of a popular coffee place, with lots of locals and tourists; that's the place to eat a sandwich. There are better places of course, but not as cool as this one.

Its a coffee shop that serves good sandwiches and coffee. why complain. sit down, relax, enjoy your cup as the hustle and bustle of the city envelops you. Neat place, decent sandwich selection, yet a nice place to have a short break during your day if you are around the area. there are others you could visit but if you... More

I stopped here on a hot morning to have a relaxed breakfast and do some work on my laptop. The place is nice and big, casual and yet with a lot of personality. The coffee is great, the pastries are nice and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. The place serves all sort of italian panini and small plates and... More

In a very hipster location. Busy with a long queue. Bit pricy but I guess it's in a prime location just outside the underground station.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
