I stopped here on a hot morning to have a relaxed breakfast and do some work on my laptop. The place is nice and big, casual and yet with a lot of personality. The coffee is great, the pastries are nice and the orange juice is freshly squeezed. The place serves all sort of italian panini and small plates and... More

In a very hipster location. Busy with a long queue. Bit pricy but I guess it's in a prime location just outside the underground station.

Went here for some coffee and thought the atmosphere looked good and it was. Sadly though I was disappointed in my coffee, it was too milky and not hot. It didn't have much flavour and I laboured drinking it. I think if I come here again next time then I will order another drink. The cakes and sandwiches looked good... More

Warning!! This café does not accept payment with cards and you are not informed until you are at the cashier (the waiting line is frustrating)! On top of that, the waitress stole 17 euros from us and denied everything when confronted!! Dont go here unless you want to be cheated and ripped off!

It is good, but is quite noisy and busy. The apple and Carmel cake was nice. It could be hard to find a seat. And the glasses used to serve the tea are not heat proof so be careful ...

The place is quite tight inside however if you have it patience the tables turn quickly. The staff are friendly and seem organized. Food is good quality and prepared with nice presentation. I would warn customers that behind the counters and bathrooms need a good cleaning! I hope they read this and take care of this before health department catch... More

We came here for a cup of coffee and for something to eat. Great atmosphere in this place. They also know how to make sweet cakes!

Cool café where they really know how to make a cappucino and their food always tastes great. I like the savory items on the menu but their sweets alway impress my friends. Limited seating inside and a wait are to be expected.

We wish we found this place earlier on our trip. The cakes and coffee in here are very, very good and very cheap. We recommend the custard tarts and the carrot cake - portions are large! It can be very busy, but for a good reason.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
