This was a wonderful find, a kind of Asian fusion tapas bar. The food was fresh and inventive and delicious. The staff were terrific and even though the place was packed you never had to wait more than a few minutes to get whatever it was you wanted. Best of it it's off the beaten path so it was pretty... I have been there on a thursday night very late and it was full, but luckily we got a table in 5 minutes. The service is very quick and the food delicious! There is a wide choice of meals for all tastes, inlcuding vegetarians, and all pockets, even though I must say it is really convenient! The environment is nice... More

Really nice and tasty food. Went here for lunch and had some amazing food. Would recommend the duck in 5 spice as this was especially nice. Staff were pleasant and overall good value for money

It's incredible how arrogant and rude the staff is. Since the restaurant is close to my work, I used to go there very often, but now I decided to walk a bit more and have lunch in one of the many other offers around. I went there with my mom, and on our way out, my mom was holding the... More

Trendy asian restaurant, perfect for 2 or also with a bunch of friends, with a nice selection of asian dishes. You can choose between normal dishes or small platters. These last ones are great and ideal to share with friends. Just order a few and let your table be filled with tasty asian food. Small platters start at just €3... More

Visited Transit during a week break in Berlin, we were recommended the restaurant by a tour guide. Although it doesn't look much from the outside when you go inside it is decorated well. The food was inexpensive with small bowls 3 Euros and large bowl 6 or 8. The large bowl portions were huge and the small bowls big enough... More

A great Asian food. You pay 3 Euro per bowl and can order as many as you like by marking their number on a slip-note and handing over to the waitress. Tends to be VERY crowded in the evenings - hence reservation is a must. Dishes have funny names and menus are also in English. Vegetarian friendly dishes are great.... More

Perfect vietnamese/thai restaurant with great different tastes. Only reason I doesn't rate the place 5 is the fact that the music was a bit too loud to enjoy each others company. Definitely value for money. Order about 3-4 of the small dishes each and you'll have plenty of food.

Ever since I discovered this place a couple of years ago, it is on my must "eats" when in Berlin. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and good prices.... Duck in pajamas and bathing beauty are a must

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
