I really enjoyed the atmosphere, wood panelling and mirrors and the waiter was great. I spent forty two euro on the meal. One glass of red, 500 gram of white asparagus with lamb and potatos.

My husband and I visited this establishment several years ago and when we decided to return to Berlin, we absolutely had to visit again. This time we brought family. My husbands favorite menu item was the pigs knee. Just remember it has the skin attached and is a HUGE portion. I had the sausage plate with three different types of... More

After a long day of train travel into Berlin, myself and my partner were very much in need of a meal within a short walking distance of the hotel we were staying. With my partner being a fussy eater, I had the task to find a restaurant that had German style foods that would suit her, and be within easy... More

The restaurant offers a traditional German menu but the food is upscale in terms of the presentation and some less traditional dishes. Service was very good and although small the room was not too noisy. Although not cheap, this is a very good place for a good meal of local cuisine.

My wife and I were staying in a big hotel and wanted a taste of real German cooking. We were so glad we found this place. Our waiter had spent 2 years living in Dalston in NE London and had a great sense of humour. His recommendations were spot on. As our man pointed out, no-one leaves here hungry.

This was recommended by our tour guide, Jens from Magic Bus. It was lovely. Authentic German food for locals in a lovely neighborhood. They menu was also in English so it not that much off the beaten path. I would recommend it. Service was excellent and the food, fantastic. Save room for the Apple Strudel.! Good value for money as... More

Stumbled upon this German cuisine restaurant. The food was delicious, well presented and a reasonable price approx. 70 euros for two people with starters, main and wine. Service was efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend it.

Went there for lunch with a group of friends. We stayed at the Steigenberger Hotel in Kurfurstendamm, and we walked quite a bit to this restaurant. Nice, traditional-looking German eatery. The waitress is very nice and helpful. Too bad we waited quite a while for our meal, even though the place is not packed. After having lots of sausages the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
