We always wanted to try this restaurant, since it has so many positive comments here on TA. We finally arrived and got a table for two. We ordered something from the daily menu. It was good, but we've had better Vietnamese in the past. This place is a bit overrated, in my opinion. The restaurant itself however, is very nice!... More

They only have a small menu but enough for everyone to find something :), let them give you a recommendation. Very good is the noodle soup - most of people order it. Since restaurant is mentioned in lonelyplanet it gets very busy!

Monsieur Vuong is a famous spot for vietnamiese kitchen. And it's really good! You have to book a place if possible because the queue can be long. The restaurant is small and a bit noisy so you feel a bit stressed to eat and go in another place for the after drink. But their plates and coktails are good!

Read a blog on Berlin where the writer raved about this restaurant. It was near our hotel so we thought we'd try it out. Yes you may have to wait. Yes you may have to share a bench with someone but the food is fresh, tasty and so worth it. The staff friendly. We ate there twice in a 3... More

Went here with 2 friends , busy and buzzy . The food was great . I don't eat meat and the choice for me was slim but it was delicious . We sat on a table with 2 Berliners , one of whom was Syrian and the other of Portuguese decent . They were great fun and along with the... More

Stopped in just after 9pm and after a short wait got a table for myself and 5 friends. It was well worth the wait, there is only a small menu and also a few daily specials but we each had a different dish and all were fabulous. The flavours were amazing! Highly recommend!

Visited this restaurant for a quick dinner . I had the shrimp rolls and a beef PHO. The fried casing of the roll was nor good but luckily the fish based sauce covered up for it . The beef PHo was avarage the broth was over oily and plain. To pho was nice and hot that was good on that... More

Small restaurant set back from the main flow but a great little find. Authentic tasty food. Large helping and full of flavour. We all had different mains and a variety of starters to share. Dumplings were amazing. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. We actually left a little on plates, not because of any wrong just we were full.

This is a major problem with most restaurants in Europe. No conditioning even in hot summer weather. We ordered hot ramen soup. It was very good & tasty but in hot summer weather with no conditioning inside restaurant experience was not so good.

Mr Vuongs is tiny, you may sit next to someone random, the menu is small but it is delicious. Usually get chicken skewers and glass noodle salad. Big portions and very fresh. Lime sugar cocktail is good too

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
