Nice place to stop. Seems to be really popular, normal working day evening and fully booked. Food is good and the prices are quite reasonable.

We did a group booking as part of a business meeting. Food was really good, typical German atmosphere, good beer and very large portions of food. Only issue in the evening was the heat. Many restaurants in Berlin don't have air conditioned and in a very hot day it's not easy to stand. But overall went well.

We found the restaurant from trip advisor because we wandered around the neibourhood and we wanted to eat something traditional. The ladies at the restaurant were polite and they were speaking english. It was relaxed with open windows as the wheather was hot. The food was really good. We ate a plate with three kind of wurst (i cannot recall... More

Visited for lunch and had the curry wurst and a salad as a starter. The sausages were a bit overcooked and dry and the sauce should have been spicier. The pommel frites were okay. Decent selection of German beer and friendly staff, but the curry Würst is served better other places.

I ordered schnitzel and requested for sauerkraut as a side to replace french fries. The lady who served me was very friendly. The restaurant is cosy with gentle warm lighting, dark wood tables and chairs. The walls are adorned with old black and white pictures of the city. Food was excellent. The schnitzel was nicely done. The outer crust was... More

This is a very cosy Gasthof, furnished in traditional style. Good food and drink at a reasonable cost. Open for breakfast too at a fraction of the cost of some of the surrounding hotels.

I wanted to eat an authentic German food and went to Gasthaus Krombach which is located near Bikini Berlin and Europa Center. When I went there on Sunday afternoon around 3PM, I was probably one of the few diners, so food came out quickly. I ordered a mushroom soup (EUR5.90), a small mixed salad (3.90) and curry wurst (8.90). A... More

On our first night in Berlin we decided to have a dinner at Gasthaus Krombach, and it was very good choice. Great and helpful service, delicious dishes and rather well-sized portions with average prices for a Gasthouse. I would return again.

Thank Niki S

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
