Here is my feedback on about 10 visits over the past 4-5 years: If you walk up to the counter and ask for ice cream to go, you'll get it fairly promptly and with no problems. You'll be banned from eating it at their tables but that said the square a few meters away has lots of seating benches. If... More

Been here a few times while in Berlin. Great choice of drinks and ice creams at good prices. Definately worth a visit.

This is located at Hackscher Markt, so always fairly full especially the tables outside. Still, the ice cream is very tasty and worth it even if it is pricey at around 9 euro for a dessert. Choosing one of their set offerings seems to be slightly cheaper than putting together something yourself.

We were waiting to be seated for a while, then sat down at a dirty table. Staff was chatting around. Finally a young lady came to us to take our order. We asked her to remove the leftovers of the previous guests and clean the dirty table first, so she left .... then nothing happened for another 10 minutes ...... More

For whatever reason, I wanted an ice cream sundae. We were unable to find it any where and we thought we were going to have to go to the other side of town to the Hard Rock Café to get it. Then we remembered there was a Haagen-Daz at Hackescher Markt. There about about 2 dozen different ice creams to... More

The haagen dasz was really good right on the square, service was perfect they spoke english and explained the menu just like anywhere else there. Fantastic variety of desserts and ice cream desserts and drinks. Price to sit in was very expensive 8 euro+ for ice cream taking to go is a bit cheaper. But great desserts non the less.

Me and my sister were in Berlin this last weekend when we decided to grab a Milkshake at Haagen-Dasz Berlin. We walked in, staff seeming to be stressed out (it wasn't busy or anything) took our order, asking if it was "drink in or take away" at which point i said "take away please". When the Milkshake was ready, a... More

This Haagan Dasz was fantastic, right on the square and around the corner from our hotel Adina. The variety was fantastic and the Ice cream was to die for, we grabbed desserts here many nights, favoring take out as the price to sit and eat was too high. Take it to go for the best prices.

This place is part of the Hackescher Markt courtyard so if you want dessert have it here, I give the desserts a 10 out of 10. They are great, also very good service, they understand English like most places in this area and explain the menu.

Thank R.A. S

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
