I went with one of my friends to this waffle place on the recommendation of some of her family. The waffles were good, although I found mine a little sweet as it had a bit much caramel on top (obviously this is a personal thing and reflects the choice of waffle topping, not the quality of the place). The main... More

Found this place by sheer luck. The ice cream is awesome and rather cheap...compared to othet Berlin rates. Breakfast served Sa. & Su. from 10.00 - 14.00 hrs. Tried only the ice cream...but breakfast looks nice too.

We were here on our first trip to Berlin, and now have a tradition: No visit to Berlin without a visit to Kauf Dich Glucklich: Always friendly staff, great atmosphere and BRILLIANT waffles. We love the place and our kids love the place.

It's situated in an area which is full of different restaurants and coffee shops, yet the area is quiet and relaxing! The prices are ok and I just love their ice cream 😁 I chose guava and pistachio

This restaurant is located in the trendy neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg on an equally beautiful, tree-lined street. It wasn't too hard to find because it seemed to be the most popular restaurant on the street around midday. My friends and I came here specifically for waffles and we were not disappointed. We had both savory and sweet options. I had... More

We went here for icecream and there was one annoying song playing repeatingly for more than 30 minutes. My molucan friend really hated it. But I disagree, so therefore a six!

Kauf Dich Glucklich is a great place to go at any time of day. I went for brunch and for after dinner drinks and had a great experience both times! The atmosphere is kitschy but it is very cute and lots of fun. During the day, expect to see trendy couples and families with young children lining up for some... More

My daughter was having waffle withdrawal so after an inline search we simultaneously satisfied my team obsession and took the M1 tram from Weimeister St having taken in the delights of Hackesche Hofe up Kastanienallee, quite our favourite quirky Street in Berlin and worth a stroll along in its own right. As the photos depict, the cafe is a 50s... More

We stumbled into Kauf Dich Glucklich while walking in Prenzlauer Berg, noticed the line, and immediately walked in. Very popular place with tasty ice cream and waffles, a good place to satisfy your sweet tooth on your way.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
