The employee clearly enjoyed letting me sit in the empty cafe without informing me of the self-service policy. Happy to provide the information sarcastically whilst I was on my way out though. Terrible way to treat guests and the staff clearly get zero training. Obviously sitting on their laurels now they are known. This is a big mistake. Cannot recommend... More

I enjoy strolling around Prenzlauerberg area, and found this waffle cafe is one of my biggest finding. They offer waffle (of course, and one of the best in the city) and ice cream, which is perfect at summer time, but I dont mind to went there in winter as well, they have cozy area inside, where you can hang around... The one thing that you notice as you walk around the vibrant Prenzlauer Berg district is the fabulous café's and bars in this superb area. We were just wandering around when we came across Kauf Dich Glucklich. This waffle café looks cool with a nice interior with eclectic decor and furnishings and a big outside seating area. I ordered a... More

Making some of the best waffles and ice cream in Berlin. It's nice sitting on their terrace watching the Sunday flaneurs walk by. They also sell mini toys that make great surprise gifts - e. g. rubber octopus tentacles, little cowboys and other fun stuff.

We had the vegan waffle with maple syrup, coffee, ice cream and beer. Very relaxing atmosphere, outdoor sitting and nice service. Definitely coming back!

I went with one of my friends to this waffle place on the recommendation of some of her family. The waffles were good, although I found mine a little sweet as it had a bit much caramel on top (obviously this is a personal thing and reflects the choice of waffle topping, not the quality of the place). The main... More

Found this place by sheer luck. The ice cream is awesome and rather cheap...compared to othet Berlin rates. Breakfast served Sa. & Su. from 10.00 - 14.00 hrs. Tried only the ice cream...but breakfast looks nice too.

Thank Holgi E

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
