Great atmosphere, great service and authentic German cuisine. Ask for the specials as there are some incredible meals off the main menu.

Me and my wife went here for beer. Staff was quick. Not so good at English, but my German was accepted. We enjoyed the our beers outside. The decoration inside is amazing if you like German old deco. Lots of cool black and white pictures on the walls.

Authentic place in the Kudamm neighborhood. Good home cooked German meals with seasonal options. Good mix of locals and tourists. Perfect for s relaxed meal after exploring the city.

My husband and I went here on our first night in Berlin for our 27th Wedding Anniversary. The food was fantastic and our waiter was an absolute wonderful man.

The only way to eat in Berlin - German food! A real treat, excellent food and great atmosphere. Reasonably priced too.

The atmosphere is great - lots of wood panelling, low lighting and collections of "stuff" on shelves. The prices are very, very reasonable and the service is outstanding. There was one waiter on duty - who also drew the beer - and, although the place was busy, he provided very prompt service. Every time I finished a beer he was... More

Very warm welcome by the 2 English speaking waiters. Very homey, welcoming feeling. Initially I thought "oops, it's a tourist-only place (which sometimes happens with tripadvisor)" but as I observed, I saw that it was actually a good mix of locals and English-speaking tourists, which ended up forming this overall welcoming feel for this German "pub." What is great about... More

Nice little find across from our pension Columbus. I particularly liked the warm pub-style atmosphere and we realised this place is a bit of an institution with the locals and foreigners alike. The food we ordered was very tasty, home cooked German and there is a wide range of drinks available. We will return and great for the last drink... More

The Patzenhofer is a quiet but cozy place right in the heart of the city just off the Ku'Damm. The beer is good (Berliner Kindl) and there is a great menu of hearty, traditional German favourites like Tafelspitz, Bauernfrüstuck and Sauerbraten. It's a little dark, but in a way that's what I like. It adds to the atmosphere. The staff... More

Ate here late one evening, after reading Trip Adviser reviews of the area near our hotel. We had a very friendly welcome, which continued throughout our visit. The decor has an old-school, German charm; just like the food. We visit Germany, and specifically Berlin, often and this is good, honest German food; thankfully without too much of a K'damm price... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
