Good food, at a very decent price. For instance, I had one of the day´s specials: 1/2 a duck with red cabbage and baked potatoes for 15 euros. Very nice and quick service (knows also Russian, and some words in Romanian as well btw). Further more, they also have a "smoker room", which is not overcrowded, as one might think... More

the restaurant has german specific and portions are kinda large. the chicken soup was salty but the rest of dishes was good and tasty. the pork knuckle had an unsuccessful combination of potatoes, mashed peas, cabbage, pickles, mustard :) this is too much for my taste

I loved this Pub, from the paneled walls to the old decor and the owner telling us to close our menus and he would order for us, I had a beef roll and potato dumplings that was just like something my grandmother would cook on Sunday for dinner. My husband had the Sausages, and the amount of food on his... More

Happened across this restaurant tonight whilst exploring as we wanted a traditional German restaurant being as it was our first time in Germany. There are lots of restaurants locally but all seemed to be Italian. Once inside the place is gorgeous, very traditional with dark wood, lots of old pictures on the walls and lace on the tables. Combined with... More

Couldn't find the place we sought and liked the looks of this restaurant. What a find! Schnitzel and Burton bleu were great, each served with potatoes and veg. We ordered an additional green mixed salad first, which was fresh, plentiful, and st 3.90, reasonable for Berlin. Mains cost 9.90 .E and 12.00 E respectively. Two Extra large local draft beers... This is a traditional German 'pub'. We were made very welcome by the senior bar man, who spoke good English and explained all the dishes to us. The food offering is good, hearty German fare. There's a very friendly atmosphere. When we visited the evening weather was warm enough that quite a lot of the customers were standing outside drinking... More

This is a German style food restaurant. Small but the service is good and you are made to feel welcome. One if the cheapest restaurant we used but the food quality was very good.

don't be fooled by the appearance of this place. It looks like a sleepy little pub but I can assure you it isn't.Food is first class and freshly cooked...great choice of beers and wines.Service first class with tables outside...it even boasts a separate smoking room if its raining.I never miss visiting this great little bar.

Amazing, this is a friendly local German bar. Beer is awesome, great welcome by the staff I just wish we found this place earlier in our trip.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
