We only found this pub after visiting St. Nicholas church. It was our favourite find of our whole trip. We didn't have any food so can't comment on that but the beers and service were great. More importantly I found the atmosphere fantastic and we...More

Have to agree entirely with a m reviewer who said the schnitzel was inedible. Probably the worst holiday meal I’ve ever had, swimming in oil and no taste. Not very welcoming either.

This was our 5th time in Berlin. Each time we always visit Zum Nussbaum for beers. At the front is a lovely small garden and inside is a cosy intimate setting. We have not tried the food but the service is faultless. We especially like...More

After visiting the Nikolai church museum opposite, I had lunch in this charming local pub. The schnitzel dish was awful—potatoes, fried egg, and schnitzel served on a plate dripping with oil. Perfectly good ingredients but what a poor take on German food! Best was the...More

This is another popular venue for traditional German food. Good selection of traditional dishes to choose from. Service was remarkably efficient considering how busy the place was. Beer was also good. Worth a visit for sure.

Zum Nußbaum has a tenuous claim to being the oldest pub in Berlin, the original Zum Nußbaum ( Under The Nut Tree ) was actually located on Fischerstraße and depending on which blog you read this pub opened in either 1505 or 1705 but it...More

Nice traditional German bar/restaurant in a nice quaint corner of Berlin. Our main course and dessert were very tasty, with a good choice of local beers. The waitress had a brilliant sense of humour and kept all her guests happy. Good find.

The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

of some significant transformations, as well. The
