This is another popular venue for traditional German food. Good selection of traditional dishes to choose from. Service was remarkably efficient considering how busy the place was. Beer was also good. Worth a visit for sure.

We found this great little pub in the old Nikolai-Viertel (quarter) of Berlin under the shadow of St Nicholas's church not far from Alexanderplatz (and the TV tower). The waitress was very patient with some of the group's indecisiveness and our lack of German. Nevertheless,...More

It was areal suprise to discover this traditional german retstaurant in the middle of a much moden area of Berlin. Very cozy and quiet, good food and good service.

Zum Nußbaum has a tenuous claim to being the oldest pub in Berlin, the original Zum Nußbaum ( Under The Nut Tree ) was actually located on Fischerstraße and depending on which blog you read this pub opened in either 1505 or 1705 but it...More

Nice traditional German bar/restaurant in a nice quaint corner of Berlin. Our main course and dessert were very tasty, with a good choice of local beers. The waitress had a brilliant sense of humour and kept all her guests happy. Good find.

At first we thought the waitress was a bit gruff but she warmed up. Food was excellent. Family style seating so you may share a table with folks you don’t know. Cute place in cute area. Would recommend. They do ask for tip.

Directed here by a local and delighted to find a good pastiche of a German inn. It is in what is supposed to be Berlin's oldest area and is next to the twin spired church and surrounded by twee gift and jewellery shops. Came her...More

This pub is historic old. The food is good old Berlin style kitchen. Liver and Bulette are for sure the best and the Berliner Weisse is nicely mixed, not to sweet and not to sour. Service is good and Berliner schnauze :)

Old fashioned bar in the old fashioned Nikolai Viertel. I think it dates back to the thirteenth century originally. This is an area that was restored by the then East German government for Berlin’s 750th anniversary. It’s a quaint area and the bar is a...More

The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights

oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
