We had dinner there on 4/3/16. The place was quiet, the owner was very welcoming as well as the chef! They recommended the goulash soup which excellent then we had a plate of goose liver and a plate of rolled beef, both typically German and delicious. I would certainly try this place again in a future visit!

9 of us wanted some authentic german cuisine and thought we'd try this place.. I rang up an hour before and were lucky enough that they had space.. There were 3 dishes available Goose, Beef or Pork and between the team we tried all of them. Overall rating says it all.. Portions were huge, quality fantastic and the bill came... More

Yes there is more to Berlin than Curry Wurst. And this place offers some excellent dishes to get a taste of the local cuisine. In the winter months, their specialty is a crispy goose, which I tried and it tastes excellent. It is a old fashioned place ran by a older couple, where she is in charge of the guests... More

Very nice bar and restaurant with both inside and outside tables. Pork medallions (very tender made to perfection) with dark sauce and fried fresh mushrooms made in wok. Side dish was boiled potatoes in parsley and butter. Perfect dinner with a cold glass of beer. Highly recommended, although a bit overpriced.

Run by a friendly woman of a certain age who speaks English - though she is also quite certain about things! The food is good - be guided by her as to what's on offer as the specials pretty much are the menu. It's traditional Berlin cuisine, with very large portions (they could make more money with better portion control!),... More

Small and a bit hidden, this restaurant offers great German food at reasonable prices, with good German portions . Food is well prepared, with no shortcuts made, and all we got was made from scratch, including a superb hollandaise with the white aspargus. This is well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We were in Berlin for 3 nights from 21st to 23rd of March and checked the tripadvisor app for recommended places to eat near our hotel (Hotel Metropolitan). We decided to try here owing to the positive reviews of authentic German cuisine at reasonable prices. We first went on the 21st at around 8:30 and were immediately seated by the... More

We went here to drink a couple of beers. Friendly staff with whom we had some general conversations about this and that. The owner helped my girlfriend to learn some german as well. We didn't eat, so we don't know the quality of the food.

Can only rate it average as I enjoyed the meal whereas my wife didn't, we both ate the same. As only the couple running the Restaurant both wait, serve and cook you do get left alone for some time but like others I enjoyed the Beef. It was full of traditional flavours but not to both our tastes as it... More
