We mosied in to this restaurant on a Monday night - it was recommended by our hotel, so we took a walk on a nice evening and arrived close to 9pm and the place was PACKED! We sat at the bar, as we didn't have reservations, but it was worth it - the weiner schitzel was huge and delicious, the... More

A friend who used to live in Berlin recommended this restaurant as the best place to get a real veal schnitzel. We loved everything about the restaurant, the atmosphere, the staff, and especially the food. The schnitzels were huge and delicious, their tapas and sides are also wonderful, and they offer a variety of drinks to fit everyone's taste. Can't... More

Went to Schnitzelei with a group of colleagues from work for an evening meal. Lovely setting, enthusiastic and welcoming staff and fantastic food. We had a selection of tapas for starters and all had Schnitzel for main course which was delicious. Very enjoyable evening and the staff were attentive and made it an excellent experience for us all. Highly recommend... More

Located in a quiet neighborhood on the River Spree. Big bonus for this area is that it is open for dinner and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. They welcome you with a small beer and have an English menu option. If you're looking to try a variety of items you can do the German Tapas which has both German and... More

I did not know anything about the restaurant when I made reservation. We had "german tapas" as starters. Six pieces for two was bit too much because main courses (schnitzels that is) are huge. However, have trout mousse. It is excellent with bread and naturallu currywurst, because you are in Berlin. I had wiener schnitzel that was made out of... More

We were staying in the centre of Berlin but really liked the look of this place from the reviews on Trip Advisor and the menus we had found on the internet. It was quite a way on the U-Bahn (approx. 10 stops) and a little walk from the station. However, it was well worth the effort. It was a Friday... More

Outside table for 9 for a lovely meal after a business training day. The weather was lovely so had table outside. Tried the meze and some lovely dishes. I had the schnitzel and it was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend

We had booked an outside table so were seated immediately and brought a complementary beer with the menus, in English as well as German. The waitress spoke excellent English, by the way. We decided to try the (rather less authentic idea of) German tapas followed by a Wiener Schnitzel - pork, rather than veal. What a mistake! The Schnitzel was... More

Had dinner here a few weeks ago with my Husband and parents. The food is awesome, super authentic and delicious. The service however is terrible - waited 45min for a table (told it would be 15min) and then another 35min to have our drink order taken. Had to chase a waitress down to take our dinner order. Seems like it's... More

The place to go for a good Schnitzel. The name of the restaurant says it all. There is a really good choice of Schnitzel. The restaurant also caters for vegetarians with a parmesan risotto Schnitzel. The good traditional Austrian fare goes down well with the general public. Start off your meal with a selection of starters offering all kinds of delicacies. The staff are great. So too are the rectangular lamps on the walls which are even used as candleholders. The wine selection is very good.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
