Despite calling and being told US football was beings broadcast, It was not. We are not particular, but this place was filthy and the sports that was on had frozen screens

We managed a 5 am visit to the bar(among other visits) to partake of a direct telecast of the AFL Grand Final from Melbourne Australia.....fantastic ambience, meat pies and sauce, Australian beer and red hot footy action. On others visits the cafe style food and cold beer did not disappoint.

Friendly staff, food is good. A particularly good currywurst. Cheap beer, and a great atmosphere! Can you ask for more?

Great atmosphere with music playing and live sport on the TVs, all in all a good time to be had here just not the best food on town. Have eaten here a few times now and while the food hasn't been horrible it's not the best either. Their giant pork schnitzel is pork and a schnitzel but certainly not giant... More

Went to watch Arsenal v Chelsea and queued for 20-25 minutes to reach the bar to order food to be told no food orders at the moment. I replied that I had waited 20 to 25 minutes to be told that which was disappointing. He said I... More

A co-worker and I were in Berlin for the opening weekend of NFL action, we stopped into a few bars during the day and inquired about showing the games. This was the only spot we found with them advertised. We enjoyed the beer, and had pub grub that was pretty good. I had the Curry Wurst which was some of... More

Found this bar as we emerged from underground station at Rosa Luxembourg platz . on hot Monday afternoon, two for one beer offer irresistible ,stayed for a few then some food which was more than edible. This bar is attached to St.Christopher's Hostel so seems to attract a younger lively clientele. The staff were friendly ,helpful and competent, especially Enka from... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
