The line talks for itself. And must say the vegetarian is a real star and change from falafels. And back to the line; it´s worth it!

Food: What differentiates this doner to others is the juicy grilled vegetables which compliments the delicious doner meat. Fresh salad, Turkish cheese and a range of rich sauces also add to make this a very tasty "fast" food which is worth waiting a slow moving, long queue! Service: Not a restaurant, so less applicable. But, friendly staff take their time... More

I came here on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm and waited in line until 4pm..but it was so worth it!! Best kebab I've ever had..it had beautifully seasoned feta, roasted vegetables, lots of salads and sauces. And to top it off, the staff were super cheerful and friendly which was nice to see even though they were flat out! Would... More

Did not want to initially go, a have had quite a few let downs when it come to 'must go to' places, but this really deserves all the hype and fame it has. Best kebab I have ever had for sure.

We had heard of this iconic kiosk restaurant much before visiting Berlin. Although we visited long past the peak lunch hour, we had to wait for an hour in the line. An useful hint is to buy some Curry wurst from curry 36 just next door and have out while standing in the line. The menu is the basic Turkish... More

I waited half an hour for trying the famous kebab and then I said: when would I like to come again?! The kebab is simply AMAZING! This because is not the usual one: there is not a lot meat but more than half of it is composed by different kind of veggies. Great idea! See you soon ;)

Went due to a recommendation of a friend. He warned me beforehand of the queues. And yes, even at around 1 pm, we had to wait around 20 minutes to order. The food was definitely a step above the average kebap you can get at every street corner, but does not warrant a 20 minute queue in my opinion. Must... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
