The Döner is good, but in my opinion not worth the hype. The queue is often so long, that you have to wait over 1 1/2 h to get a Döner, that's not outstanding.

I was in the area and decided "what the hell," even though I knew it would be slammed on a Sunday afternoon. I got in line and kept thinking "this is ridiculous," but I had nothing else to do so I hung on. The guys at the counter are nice, and the kebap was very tasty. But is was NOT... More

The food is good, can`t rate it as fantastic or supr tasty. The vegetables are fresh, they put a little white cheese on the top.

This is a hugely over rated establishment. It was highly recommended place by an associate. Waited in line for over 30 minutes and watched as the guys prepping the food casually go about their job, as well as pouring and mixing their tea while people waited. No sense of urgency. Once I got to the front I must say the... More

The reviews didn't disappoint. We had the shawarma wrap. It was yummy, the wrap in particular was very tasty. Everything very fresh. And they also had a jar of pickled vegetables on the table which was awesome.

We waited for 15mins and when we did get to eat our kebabs- oh my gosh they were scrumptious. Cooked fresh and with tender meat, lovely roasted vegetables, crumbly cheese, meat and garlic sauce. All very lean and piping hot. Would heartily recommend. Yum!

It was good and I'm glad I waited to see what the fuss was about but I wouldn't wait in line for more than 15 minutes to have one.

Tried the kebab role for lunch. The que took about 15-20 minutes, but it was definitely worth it! Nice and fresh meat and vegetables.

We waited 30 minutes in the rain on a Wednesday late afternoon - and it was 100% worth it! If you have the time, definitely go here! Their focus is definitely quality not quantity and they ensure everyone's is perfect and don't rush it at all which in my opinion is what makes them so great! Thanks guys!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
