Berlin is famous for its kebabs and these are difficult to beat. As with most places the menu is limited but if you know your kebabs then you will love these.

In those years of traveling to Berlin and passing by Mustafa's, I have always been impressed by how long the line is. I was wondering, do Berliners really have so much free time at hand and can wait in line for a Kebab for an hour? (For me, even 30 minutes are too long) Last winter, on a cold Monday... More

In my area at home the kebabs are disgusting and i wouldn't go anywhere near them however with Mustafas cult following me and my friend felt like we had to go. We were in the line for exactly 2 hours and it was very boring. If you are seriously going to line up then get some beers or something to... More

I saw all the hype for this place and was prepared for the queue. I got lucky and had a 15 minute wait, and I wasn't disappointed! Excellent flavours in the sauce and chicken kebab meat. A cut above other kebabs I have had. Definitely worth trying on any trip to Berlin. Oh and it's good value at €3:20.

Kebab like any other, nothing special about it except of crazy long waiting time. Berlin gives never ending food possibilities, faster and better than this one. Totally overhyped and not worth waiting more that 20min. Come on, it's just anorher fast food.

Visiting Mustafa had been like a sightseeing for us in Berlin. We waited 2 hours 15 minutes! And we are coming from Döner's country. Taste was not very usual for us, like a new taste and it was nice, but too spicy for us. While waiting for our döner we met new people and friends. This was funny. If someone... More

I started my queue by the entrance of Berliner bank (towards the Curry wurst restaurant). I took the time to count the line, roughly 60 people in front of me, no more than 70 (please note that some people are lining up while their family/friends are sitting elsewhere and some might order more than 1, so these factor is also... We went Mustafa's on friday around 10 pm. We had to wait about 1.5 hours before it was our turn. Service wasnt the best, I think. Employees talked to their friends over people who waited their turn in queue. When new meat was coming, nothing happened over 25 minutes. Waiting and chaos in queue was frustrating but food was excellent... More

To be honest they have a nice strategy making people wait in line for hours - no way - it's not worthy - Berlin is too nice to spend too much time for a silly kebab that can be found somewhere and even with seats to eat comfortably. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
