Having moved from a restaurant where we were ignored Heat started off much better with actually attentive staff. Menu was mix of local and international cuisine and the currywurst was good. Nice view of the spree whilst your enjoying lunch and prices are reasonable.

The Namibian steak was just PERFECT !!! juicy tasty steak with a creamy baked potato on the side.... The location made everything complete :) The view of the cathedral from this side of the Spree river was just marvellous. I Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner after a long tiring day of sightseeing. You will have a good... More

Fast service with friendly, chatty staff and a surprisingly generous lunch. My partner had the self service salad and loved the variety on offer. I ordered the ham sandwich expecting something basic and was instead presented with a slab of toasted cibatta topped with thick slices of ham, pineapple and melted brie. Well situated along the river opposite Museum Island,... More

Either inside or outside worth visiting..inside the lobby area, you can enjoy the massive aquarium and outside you can enjoy the views over the Spree river and the surroundings, beautiful, loved it!!

An interesting food selection in a nicely decorated restaurant with outside diningg along the Spree river, with a view to the Berlin Dome. Walking distance from Alexanderplatz in gorund floor of Raddisson Blu hotel.

This was probably the worst ripoff I have ever had in a restaurant. I had a small sausage with some fries and a small glass of wine (and some water that I hoped would be free). The bill was 28.50 euro!!! Crazy!

The location of this restaurant is great, right by the river so very good for watching the world go by. This location does make it slightly more expensive however not too bad. The food is excellent, I recommend trying the Curryworst, it's great! Friendly staff top off this great experience.

Had a great curry wurst here on my recent trip. Service was generally good, although I found it almost impossible to catch the eye of the waiter when I needed something. A great location for sunny evening beside the river and s fab view of Berliner Dom

Had lunch at HEat. The menu was a bit confusing, but the waiters were nice to help. A bit to fancy and quiet with two small children, but again the staff didnt seem to mind. The food was worth it!

When visiting HEat we sat in the ample outdoor sitting area which was lovely on a sunny early evening. We enjoyed a 2 course meal with drinks. The food was nice and fresh. The only problem I had was that my sweet potato fries were overcooked, but they were still edible so all is good. Drinks prices seemed a little... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
