My family and I planned to eat across the street at the Chinese restaurant but came to find it was closed... Thankfully! Because 12 Apostel had the most delicious bread, great pizzas and unbelievably friendly and accommodating service. My grandma has many food restrictions and was not feeling well. The waiter brought her a honey ginger tea without request and... More

I went here because I saw it couple of times while walking to Museum Island. I was on my own. The place is really nice, with low lights and great vintage Deco. I read in trip advisor that the highlight of the menu was the pizza put that it was really big. So I ordered pasta. I came out really quick... More

The pizzas were freshly baked in the big stone oven, with all the toppings one can wish for, and even some vegan varieties. And for those who are not so into pizza there are some tasty dishes, too. The service was efficient and very friendly, the location is gorgeous, with huge ceiling paintings. And in the summer you can sit... More

Nice place and very popular on night we were there. Good vibe but food just ok. Pizza is over rated and in my opinion does not rate with the best. Drink expensive particularly the bottled water.

When I walked in the ambiance seemed a bit gaudy. Food arrived quickly. But the pasta seemed bland and needs more spice. While on the other hand the pizza was large and tasted delicious could use more toppings. As for the dessert the Tiramisu was large, the Creme Brûlée was to sweet, and the Pannacotta was by far the best.... More

Great location, easy to reach, beautiful interior and lots of space to seat - it is a huge restaurant. Built under the S-Bahn tracks so pretty noisy and feels like an earthquake but the pizza makes you forget all this hurdles. Staff is nice, good service , good food. Asked an Italian colleague after the meal hownItalian it was -... More

we went for a late lunch after Pergamon Museum-its a very short walk. no issues getting seated-we sat outside. we started with a salad-which was enough for the 3 of us-and had two pizza's. we thought all the food was tasty. service was a little slow-but we were just chillin. worth it.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
