This place served great pizza. Huge in size, thin crust and great toppings. Friendly staff . Reasonably priced. Cool location under the railway tracks.

This place is not some cliche Italian eatery looking to attract familiar American tourists - it is a bona fide restaurant with an inviting atmosphere and excellent food. We had a simple lunch consisting of a caprese salad and the Bartolommeo pizza with figs, goat cheese, arugula and dri Italian ham. Absolute heaven.

Don't come here for a romantic meal for 2! It's very busy, Menu is limited mainly pizza starter choice poor but they want to keep you hungry for the pizza! Pizza is good but as they should be in an Italian restaurant. Had better and had worst basic menu does let it down but price wise very good for Berlin.

This restaurant had a really great atmosphere. It was decorated in a very original way with religious elements. A train track ran over the restaurant and rather than that being irritating as you might expect, it actually added something to the atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and our food came quite quickly. The pizzas were huge and delicious, they... More

Excellent pizzas and enormous salads. Try the Johannes or the Simon. We each ordered our own pizza and it was way too much food. Considering sharing for sure.

We visited here at beginning of nov. Had a fab lunch which included a huge vegan pizza, a meaty pizza for my other half, "12 Apostels" own brewed beer which was lovely and I even had a raspberry beer. The decor is cool and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. Could have done with a bit of background music though. Well... More

Very busy place but great and friendly service, the food is really tasty, we shared starters and then ordered pizza and Saltimbocca and every single dish was delicious. Highly recommended.

First time here to eat dinner. A colleague suggest while I was on my business trip. Fantastic choice, food really good n fresh. Service quick and efficient. If you can't finish you can bring home the left over. The only little negative thing is that is too noisy because people are talking loud. But in general I would suggest for... More

This was really busy when we went on a Wednesday night, with all ages and plenty of locals, which is always a good sign. Business may have got in way of service, but decent enough. Portions, as others have said, can be enormous. The Caprese salad could be enough for four. Pizza's are big no match for our 13yo son,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
