Entering this place is a very mixed experience. On the one hand, they offer a lot of different stuff. On the other, the noise and the chaos makes you regret it all. On top of that, they have a stupid/ok ordering system, depending on whether you know about it or not. After standing in line for 25 minutes to order,... More

This system where you get a card and wait in line and all that I am not a fan of for the reason that it does not lower the price of the food. I went here on a Wednesday evening and it was way to crowded and so loud. I heard there was a 2 hour wait for one pizza!!!... More

The issue with this restaurant is looks like as a huge canteen. Take a card and then go to every section and order. this made a very huge queues in every section for pasta, pizza and salads. this is annoying a lot. However, the food is very good and delicious. What ever you want they will do it. Their sitting... More

Due to the unfriendly systems vapianos implement the staff should be better trained on handling mishaps etc. One particular chef doing the pizzas got frustrated with every single client who placed the card the wrong way on the reader. Even cursed at one. Typical attitude of the majority of German service staff I have faced here. If you cannot handle... More

Nice and clean Italian restaurant in the heart of Berlin. Polite staff, but long queues. So you have to wait some time to get your meal.

Although this was a self service restaurant, the least they can do is clear the table. We eventually did this ourselves as the previous patrons left it in a mess. Good fresh pasta and pizza, worth the wait. Excellent location across potzdamer platz.

We sat outside in the shade as the place was empty, so there wasn't much atmosphere. You basically get a card where you order your food on and pay at the end. We decided to order the lasagna and a pizza and when we tried to order they basically had limited food left. (It was midday when we went there).... More

We decided to eat here since it was recommended in a travel guide as a good cheap eat. It wasn't that cheap and it took too long for what seemed like fast food service. I would rather have paid a bit more and have good sit down service at a better restaurant. A bit too chaotic for my taste.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
