Nice and clean Italian restaurant in the heart of Berlin. Polite staff, but long queues. So you have to wait some time to get your meal.

Although this was a self service restaurant, the least they can do is clear the table. We eventually did this ourselves as the previous patrons left it in a mess. Good fresh pasta and pizza, worth the wait. Excellent location across potzdamer platz.

We sat outside in the shade as the place was empty, so there wasn't much atmosphere. You basically get a card where you order your food on and pay at the end. We decided to order the lasagna and a pizza and when we tried to order they basically had limited food left. (It was midday when we went there).... More

We decided to eat here since it was recommended in a travel guide as a good cheap eat. It wasn't that cheap and it took too long for what seemed like fast food service. I would rather have paid a bit more and have good sit down service at a better restaurant. A bit too chaotic for my taste.

Yes, it was busy hours. But still standing over an hour on the queue is way too much. The service mode that Vapiano is having might work during more silent times but not at all during busy hours. After long queing it is kind of frustrating to hear that expected ingredient had been run out. The food itself was not... More

While in "normal" restaurant you can sit, drink beer, and chat with your friends when you are waiting for your food to be served, here you have to stand in the queue and wait for your food. Food is fine, but not outstanding. The total experience has bee dissapointing.

Just had a portion of one of the pasta selections and it was just about the worst pasta I have ever eaten. The spaghetti was very starchy and gummy like chewing on a ball of rubber bands. I'll never go back to this place.

The pizzas are pretty small, dry and tasteless. The ingredients are pretty basic. Water is too expensive.

My Caesar salad was good and the free wifi bonus but the prep time was so slow. And you stand in front while they prepare so it is excruciating. 20 mins

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
