This restaurant is located at Schlueterstrasse corner Kurfuerstendamm (called "Ku'Damm"). The ideal stop for lunch and dinner, especially after a Christmas shopping tour in the best part of Ku'Damm (Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton etc.). The food is fine, well balanced, tasty and in my opinion representing the real home-made taste of a typical Italian "Mama". The ingredients are fresh and... More

This centrally located genuinely Italian restaurant is just off the Ku'damm. No worries with the kitchen, its original and ambitious. I always enjoy the vitello tonnato, whenever it is available. Attentive service. - What I do not like or understand is why they still allow smoking in this restaurant. - To be avoided at all costs.

Pretentious, rude and poor food! A disgrace on Italian heart and soul. The safran risotto tasted nothing like safran but like mac'n'cheese. I didn't even eat it as it was poorly cooked as well. The place was much too busy so we waited forever - and I didn't get my side dish- the waiter suggested I paid anyways as it... More

I used to not like it so much but now it is one of my favorite spots in berlin! The ovest-team is perfectly nice and always welcomes every guest with a warm smile and nice words. Food-quality also improved in the last months

We were surprised when our waiter refused us tap water. I am eight months pregnant. Honestly it was hard to focus on the quality of the food after that. Unseemly.

There are much nicer Italian restaurants at which to eat in the immediate vicinity. The food isn't anything special. The waiters are slap dash and pretentious and the patronage noisy and addicted to nicotine. The seating is cramped and uncomfortable and you can pay only in cash. We wont be back.

We visited Berlin in November 2014. We ate at this restaurant our first night there. Is was one of the best meals i had in my life. I have been to Rome and honestly, i didn't have such good spaghetti as the one we had in Ovest. We ate a tricolore salad, 2 spaghetti plates and two beers. We paid... More

Although you have to pay cash I can highly recommend this restaurant. Don't waste your money elsewhere! It's just perfect if you like italian food.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We ordered the fixed price menu and were treated to a delicious meal with friendly servoce. There was a good wine list with choices in all price ranges. This is the place for a good Italian meal in Berlin. On the down side, the restaurant was v busy so the meal took forever... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
