In Kruezberg along the river with great view and good food at reasonable prices. The Cambodian soup was great as was the chicken and tofu pad Thai. Some had the garlic chicken and they enjoyed it. Nothing fancy but great spot if in the area where a lot of the locals go

I went there with my husband and my daughter and we had a wonderful dinner. Although it was crowded we have been served very quickly. The food was delicious especially the salmon.the wine was good and we took 4differnt plates. The price reasonable.I will definitely visit it again!!

I mean i totally understand that when your neighbor is a 2 Michelin star restaurant, you can make your dishes a few eur more expensive than average. Therefore though the place has to be more organized. The food was alright, they really try to make it special and in a way its different compared to other regular asian bistros. The... More

My husband and I went here on a friday evening. We waited for ages to be served, even though the restaurant wasn't too busy. There were 3 waiters at that time but it was so hard to catch their attention. When we were finally served, the food came pretty quickly. It was ok, a bit pricey for the price. But... More

If you want good quality Asian food, come here! All dishes smell delicious and fresh, good quality, and appropriate price. I also love the environment and ambiance. I also had a great experience with their service.

The food looks and smells wonderful but everything we had had the flavour missing! No smack in the face of beautiful Asian flavours. Everything was dumbed down and made so very plain, it was so frustrating as all the ingredients were there - just turn the volume up! We kept asking for condiments from the kitchen i.e. tamarind sauce for... More

We chose Chan's for the lovely location by the river and the sandwich board in English outside - though they didn't actually have an English menu, we didn't really need one, and were treated to some great tasting, very reasonably priced and gorgeously presented food. Can't recommend the Chili Tofu highly enough!

The rating would be a bit higher of the quality of the service improved. I've been to Chan twice in the past month and the most recent experience would be characterized as deplorable in terms of the service. While the food is slightly above-average, the staff have a rather blasé attitude that borders on just plain rude. The waitress who... More

Maybachufer area it's really a nice place to be, especially during the (few) summer hot evenings. It was not the first time at Chan's. Always really good food, but a little bit more expensive comparing to the Thai prices average in Berlin. Perhaps the position, or the nicer design. Staff was nice, the position is its best point

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
