Cafe & Restaurant Louis is a basic corner Kneipe where you can eat and have a good beer. The decor is fairly basic but it is frequented by insiders who want their weekly portion of meat. The restaurant offers massive schnitzels served with fried potatoes. I failed and could not eat my portion although I only ordered a salad without... More

Wonderfully big and tasteful Schnitzel, classic taste and totally worth the price. Strongly recommended!

Came here thanks to numerous local Berliner recommendations and they were not wrong. A locals restaurant, the massive portions of delicious schnitzel are perfect and can be washed down with a variety of brews or wines. Service is great and although visiting means a step back in time to the mid 80s decor wise, I found that endearing. Some of... More

Food is very tasty and the dishes are massive! Probably best if I had ordered to share instead of one plate per person. Beer is alsp very good and the prices are quite reasonable considering the amounts and quality of the food. The only problem is that they don't accept non-german cards. So make sure to bring some cash with... More

...with their "Little" Wienerschnitzel, it's huge and can be easily shared between two people. Also it is served over a bed of potatoes. Prices seem high but if you consider that portions are huge they're manageable. P.S. They also have an XL Wienerschnitzel and I am afraid what the size might be!

Traditional Austrian restaurant in beautiful neighborhood. You should try the big schnitzel ( it is really big, for 2 hungry people) with 15 euro. minus: you pay the ketchup extra. Definitely worth a visit in Berlin!!!!

Returned for a Louis schnitzel for the second time after visiting last year. I had a MAN SIZED schnitzel covered in Swiss cheese. I managed to eat 2/3rd of it before I could eat no more. Heaven! I will visit again next year :)

Hadde to try the schnitzel and it was big and juice. The Staff Said it was veal, but it felt like pork to me. I assume they would not lie. But why did they skip the anchovies??? That was a dissapointment. We booked a table which turned out to be not needed as the place was virtualy empty. The decor... More

Staying in Neukolln

Neighborhood Profile
No Berlin neighborhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as "Little Istanbul." Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
