Been there twice in the past 2 weeks, it was and is a beautiful set up in an old house, lovely decorated, a little kitsch maybe but absolutely worth a visit for ambiance & service Food was not 100% to my expectation of Franconian fare, well portions a little small, salt & taste missing on most, expensive and quite touristy... The place is worth a visit in itself. It is an old building on an inside patio/yard. On a good day, it probably feels like the south of Spain. The food was simple but good and in big quantity. The place was quite busy as a wine festival was taking place in the city but the waitresses were friendly and... More

Good food and atmosphere! And of course the beer. The restaurant is very nice and the service is also good. Price a little high.

It's a great place to get your typical Bavarian meals and beer. The staff speak a few languages as its g armed toad tourists.

We had made reservations for a Friday evening based on reading previous reviews. Our table was in a quiet nook and we were immediately greeted by Theresa who spoke excellent English. We enjoyed some local white wine that she recommended while we looked over their extensive menu. I ordered the perch/pike from the Main River, served grilled with a side... More

Food was great and the atmosphere was nice in the 400 year old tavern. Service was good and the waitress was very polite and friendly. Would recommend the grilled platter and roast shoulder of pork.

My in-laws recommended this place and it did not disappoint. It is a little tricky to find as it is located behind the Chase bar. We arrived around 7pm without reservations and were immediately seated. The food was incredibly delicious... We got the marinated beef and roulade and finished every last bit. The beer and shandy were very good as... More

First night in Germany and could not have hoped for a better meal. This place was recommended to us by a local as that is where they go to eat - a great recommendation. Pork Schnitzel with white asparagus (it is the season) was perfection. Beer and wine to top it off and fantastic service from the moment we entered... More
