Second/ last evening of our Wurzburg visit so decided to try the Alte Mainmuhle as we'd seen it and like the look of it during our touring the town. From the roadside it's difficult to see that it's open as the entrance is by an unobtrusive roadside doorway which isn't necessarily left open. The other entrance is at the start... More

YUM!!!. The food and wine were great. For those not use to European style service, expect a slower response and for the servers to leave you to enjoy the meal, rather than pop over often. For Americans, rounding up a few dollars for tip is the normal, don't tip 10-20% like we do here. That is not how it is... More

Were here for dinner on a very busy, hot evening. Service friendly and welcoming yet overloaded. Food simple but tasty local food. Good beer and drinks and nice interior but overall it took a while and was more for the good time than the good food. Special thanks to "waiter 24" !

Surprisingly good options for vegetarians. Please discuss with the waiters and they can Persuade the chefs to cook a great vegetarian meal.

There are two entrances - from the bridge (much better) and from the underneath. The best seats are on the terrasse, but in the rainy day there are not good (no canvas provided). The meal is not expensive, good, but nothing special (also wine)

In case you were lucky and got a place outside, you will have a great view on a river and castle. We stopped by to have just coffee and dessert, but the menu offered the local German cuisine, too.

It might be expensive due to its location. But we sat inside so not worthy to pay very expensive food.

Great lunch! We got a table on the upper terrace overlooking the Main River - with a great view of the Fortress and vineyards. My husband, 18 year old son and I all enjoyed our lunches. I also enjoyed some of the Franconian wine! It was a great place to people watch too as this was a stop on a... More

I must have ordered the whole fish without knowing it. It was a great! I love the fish and wanted to pass my compliment to the chef, but didn't like the waitress who just asked us "Fished?" with a bit sharp tone. I didn't like this waitress who was not friendly at all from the beginning when I wanted to... More
